Mousa Dembele has flown to Qatar to see specialists after an ankle injury ruled him out until 2019. The Belgian suffered his latest foot injury during the 3-2 win over Wolves earlier this month and scans later revealed that he had suffered ligament damage.

This link to Aspetar seems to have been set up by Jesus Perez. He went there with Poch last year, I think, to inspect the facilities.

I thought it was his hamstring?

Does anything think he will ever find his physically top level again?

Dude was so incredibly unlucky to fall on his ankle like that. Wish him all the best.

Our best players seem to be cursed with career damaging injuries like this. It’s the main reason we haven’t won anything over the last ten years. We just can’t put together our strongest side for more than a few games a season. When you think back to all of the great Premier League teams, you’ve got consistency throughout. Imagine how well Arse would have done if Viera and Wright were out all of the time, or if Donkey and Keown couldn’t string more than two games a season together?! Or how well Man U would have done if Keane and Scoles were constantly in and out of the side?! They wouldn’t have won anywhere near as much.

There’s no real answer as to how we can keep our best players in the side, it’s just down to luck I guess! Depth of squad is better than it used to be, but when we haven’t been able to play our best defensive pair, or had a consistent midfield all season, we’re just not good enough to beat the Man City’s and the Liverpool’s. Shit, we weren’t even good enough to do Inter. Very frustrating, maybe we’ll have more luck at the business end of the season hopefully!

Have they got really fancy equipment out there?
Or is it all the top specialists work there to top their pensions up?
