Mexico international cannot make loan move to Spain.

Tottenham winger Giovani dos Santos will not be able to join Deportivo La Coruna until January due to loan restrictions, according to the Spanish club.

La Liga outfit Deportivo have confirmed their interest in the Mexico ace and the player is believed to be keen to leave White Hart Lane in search of regular football.

But Deportivo claim Giovani, who was taken off injured after a rare start for Spurs in Wednesday's Carling Cup win at Preston, will not be allowed to move until 2010.

Deportivo sporting director Ricardo Moar has stated that the Spanish Football Federation has ruled that only players based in Spain can become loan arrivals.

Moar said: "It is impossible to bring Giovani to Galicia.

"We like him very much but the Spanish Football Federation has clarified we cannot bring a foreign player in. They would have to be (based in Spain)."

    damnit harry play him!

    -sigh-

i suppose no manager is perfect. not that i'm claiming i know better than harry, but when it comes to gio, surely a CHANCE out in the first team??

He started on Wednesday, and got injured.

Harry has quoted what his issues were with Gio and said he has now sorted himself out.

Does anyone know how bad his injury is?

Lets play Gio, harry your a tosser play Gio, Lennon and Modric have played shit all season!!!!!!!!!!

i think you get my point play gio were exactly and dont say instead of Keane cuase i really doubt he would have put in any performance half as good as Keanes.

You're exactly right, but all you will get is a sarcastic reply from SpursViola about how shit Bentley is.

For ages we've all been hoping that the youngsters got a run out in the CC and made that comp part of their learning curve, now that's happening (albeit slowly) were still not happy.
If Gio isn't in the first team there is a reason why, i trust Harry to make the right choise's, mostly, ahem, Keane left wing.

I wish everyone would stop banging on about starting Gio. Harry's given the reasons for him not being picked, them seem to be very good reasons and lesser managers would of picked him regard;ess of his off the pitch antics which would of been detramental to his devolpment.
