Sorry to exhaust anyone, but can someone tell me what's happening with these 2 fella's, one of which was classed as the 'next Rooney'. I did take that with a pinch of salt but would like to know if he's got what it takes at least?

Also, Lee Barnard for that matter?

Barnard was injured for most the season and didnt play much part in the reserves, came back at the end and scored one or two though

Dixon (was also strongly tiped to come threw some point) was also injured badly this season, a knee injury i think (could be wrong) cant remember if he is fit again now or close to fitness, but didnt really play much part this season liek Barnard

Pekhart was floating between Academy and Reserves, scored afair few in the Academy (1 a game i think) but strugled with the reserves and dont think scored... another season in the reserves and Academy for sure! and he aslo got injured for a good part of the season...

forgot to say about Dervitte , he also got injured but was apparently looking very good, apart from that i dont know much

Dervitte picked up a knee injury for the reserves and is suppose to be out for several months.

Dervitte played a good game v Port Vale in the LC from what I remember, but got injured in a reserves game a month or so later and hasn't played since.

pretty sure dervittes injury was knee ligaments...which is never good

dixon has a reoccuring knee problem which ruled him out for much of the season just gone...the club are worried about it from whats been said on the message boards

Dervitte has had his knee reconstructed from what I hear so probably wont see him next season. Dixon's knee is also very serious and again dont expect to see him much next season if at all.

Pekhart isnt quite ready yet...

I hope they don't go the way of Owen Price & Michael Malcolm.

I had a tenner on him to score in that game. something like 30/1. he headed just over from a corner and my heart was in my mouth!!!

but yea he did have a really good game. im looking forwards to when he gets back on track.

I saw Owen Price playing for my local team, Lewes (conference south). He looked decent, and obviously had more talent than most of the other players. However, he never really stood out, and didn't look like his heart was really in it.

I suppose it must be difficult to be the next big thing and then be playing for lewes, but still.

Dervite is recovering slowly but surely. Was supposed to sustain 2 knee surgeries . But apparently 1 has been enough as he was recovering well. He can walk normally (after 6months...) and expects to start running in 4 weeks or so. He prefers not to hurry the come back although he's hungry like the wolf... He's presently at the training center following the recovery program under the medical staff supervision. Hope we'll see him back on pitch in october /november.

Thanks a lot Guy - and our best best wishes to Dervitte -

I really hope to see him in our first team at some point next season - had he not been injured I think he would have played a few games due to our defensive crisis last season -

here's hoping he's back better than ever

Dixon was tipped to be the next Rooney, right build for it.
