Retired from the game in 2000 after walking out on Portsmouth to watch England play cricket in Australia

not sure if its true or not, but im agee the cricket is the more exciting of the two to watch.

Neale Fenn is now at Bohemian F.C.

I remember us starting an FA Cup third round match against Man Utd with those two upfront. It was a truly hilarious experience.

We've had quite alot of very crap youngsters recently havn't we?

We really need the likes of Dervitte and Pekhart to come good at some stage. In the modern game if you're not pushing for a first team spot by the time you're 21 then it tends to go downhill from there.

seems like dervitte and dixon are the two 'stars' so-to-speak, injuries pending.

cant see barnard cutting the mustard personally, or more to the point, being given a chance at the top level with spurs. pekhart isnt quite there yet but we'll see.

I would put Pekhart ahead of Dixon in the 'stars' so-to-speak column. When there was all that talk about Man Utd and Chelsea getting Freddy Adu a few football writers were saying that Spurs got a steal in Pekhart as he is able to be a lot better than Adu ever could be.

Unfortunately, that might not be saying too much.

He's played all 90 minutes in their 3 games since he went, Sheffield United, Preston and West Brom... No idea how he's played, although they lost 5-1 at Preston, so their defence as a whole probably played crap...

Dervite is recovering slowly but surely. Was supposed to sustain 2 knee surgeries . But apparently 1 has been enough as he was recovering well. He can walk normally (after 6months...) and expects to start running in 4 weeks or so. He prefers not to hurry the come back although he's hungry like the wolf... He's presently at the training center following the recovery program under the medical staff supervision. Hope we'll see him back on pitch in october /november.

thanks for that. have some rep.

any other news from the club, by any chance?

Dixon was the real big hope and if you read the Under 18 profiles in the programmes, they all say he is the one most likely to break through. He played 2 games this season and went off injured in the 2nd one since then silence. I fear the worst for him as the club have said nothing at all. Anyone know different as some guys on here did know Dixon or his family?

last news from Dorian Dervite. After several weeks of individual training, running, shooting...,he should train normally with the reserve squad starting next monday. We should see him in the team within few weeks.

if we stick with pekhart i think he will be superb but he is a player that will take alot of time and attention as he gets incredibley home sick if we can develop him properly we could have a star.
