Real Madrid star Mahamadou Diarra will not be leaving the Bernabeu this summer despite interest from a number of Premier League clubs including Liverpool.

In the past, the 29-year-old has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, and recent developments at Real Madrid, who have welcomed Angel Di Maria, Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil to the club this summer, were thought to have left the Mali international surplus to requirements and craving first team football.

Despite increased competition at the club Diarra looks set to stay at fight for a place at the Bernabeu, with recent reports suggesting that the Malian international could replace Javier Mascherano at Anfield.

Guerra told talkSPORT: “Diarra is staying at Madrid. There were some talks and there was interest from England – but he is staying at Madrid.

“He has one year left on his contract so we will see what happens in the future.”

i love transfer deadline day, not a single player wer not in for, just read fat ronaldo is at heathrow waiting to join tottenham, whats that every transfer window for 10 years theres been a story about him? when he retires from football surely he'll be favourite to take over as manager. tempted not to look at the sports news till 6 just to avoid the bullshit.

was it not Lass we were interested in and not Mahamadou
anyway all BS i am sure
we have our third keeper and i think that is our lot for today.

Not only is this the wrong Diarra, they know it's the wrong Diarra and they've put the Spurs reference in there just to hook more people into reading a completely random item that has nothing to do with any current transfer negotiations at all.

"REPORTS" on BBC website are that Van Der Vaart is at the Lodge.....:eek:mg:

Well after all that 'swooping' any ITK's prepared to hold their hands up and confirm that they talk complete bollocks all day and in their sleep?
I am in favour of all transfer stuff being banished from the Spurs Community website until players have signed and are photographed with their shirt with Harry on the pitch at WHL.
It's pointless irritating, misleading often contradictory and almost always wrong.

    It's also optional :)

yes harry confirmed we are in for van der vaart at 8m quid!!

good signing for us, some needed creativity in the CM/AM area
  9. Bilko
van Der Vaart is very injury prone- while in Germany at least

Spurs fans... We sign a world class attacking midfielder from Real Madrid with a bargain price and your only reaction is to point out that he has suffered one or two injuries few years ago. How often have we actually signed players who have played in the previous World Cup Final? No one since Ardiles and Villa 32 years ago. And now we're talking about a player who actually wore the captain's armband when the final whistle was blown in this year's tournament.

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but if we do pull this off, it's a brilliant signing. He will add huge amounts of creativity to the squad, is a classic number 10 (something we have missed for a long time) and scores quite a few goals as well. What else do you need?

If (and hopefully when) this is confirmed: We salute you, Daniel Levy! You Legend! And hats off for 'Arry as well, "the Elvis of transfer deadline day" (as someone so eloquently texted to the BBC).

Jermain defoe just tweeted that the RVDV deal has gone through???? Hope this is true:grin:

I agree. All complete bullshitters...Not one person has mentioned VDV (until it was common knowledge on all media channels - and now one of our illustrious ITKs now all of a sudden knows all about the deal, but didn't know jack shit about it at 4pm when he probably first flew in...). What a bunch of bull shitters...

I know we will get all the tossers saying "You don't have to read it if you don't want too"...BUT I DO WANT TO READ IT - I AM A SPURS FAN!! I HAVE to read anything Spurs related

All the man hours I have wasted reading all this wank. It's bollocks.

Please ban all this ITK shite until the player is actually pictured with a scarf?!?!?

Thanks UncleBuck. I'm sure that we're all tremendously grateful for that pompous, arrogant comment.

    Just for the record.
  15. spud
It would be difficult for them to know about it before 4pm, as that was when Mourinho apparently made the call to Levy. If nobody at the club, including the Chairman, knew about it, it would be a bit of a stretch for an 'ITK' to have been informed beforehand, don't you think?

As for 'having to' read every thread in the ITK part of SC, do you read every word that is published about Spurs on every forum? Didn't think so. So why not instead read something that won't raise your blood pressure quite so much? Either that or do us all a favour and stop bitching about it.

There's hell of a lot of people who post on this site who I swear support other clubs, why else would there be such animosity towards fellow posters who supposedly support THFC?

So having been registered to this site for nearly ten years I think it's time for this "pompous and arrogant" 30+ supporter to close his account down and let the younger "boys" tear each other to pieces, I've got better things to be doing with my life than reading this crap:shake:.
