I actually had Dier down as my MOM on Wednesday night. Thought he was outstanding and alongside Sanchez and Vertonghen they were rock solid.

If Toby is out for an extended period then the other night reaffirmed my belief in Eric dropping back into the back 3 with Dembele and Winks in central midfield

Both were amazing and after the first few games of the season when I remained unconvinced about Trippier at the top level I am glad to say how wrong I was

I thought Dembele was a bit of a liability when he came on, I thought he was going to get himself sent off again! He seemed to be steaming into challenges like a man demented, maybe he had been out for so long he was just trying to make up for lost time, but I hope he calms down a bit!

Good to see Dembele chomping at the bit. Shows how frustrated he is with his injury problems.Hope he starts with Winks in CM v Palace.

He has battles every week - fouls and gets fouled.
But every now and then he goes absolutely berserk - I wonder if Ramos said something to him.
