And rightly so. No one at the club is more deserving of an england spot right now than him.

Well done Eric.

Happy for Dier, i just hope the England set up doesn't send us back crocked players from these friendly matches.

We often come of worse from these international excursions

He's definitely earned it. I was hoping Rose would get a go, too, but 5 is probably too many.. have to share it around.

No more deserving player right now than Eric, however these England call ups always leave me worrying than one or two of the Spurs players will come back with unneccesary injuries.

Think Kyle deserves it too.
Steadied down nicely this season.
Wot no Townsend.
With Danny on the verge too
we are making an impression in all the right places.

What you say is true, but getting the opportunity to represent their country is a big part of why players want to play for clubs like ours in the first place. It's a double edged sword and we just have to hope for the best.

I can't think of an English midfielder in better form.

We have a lot of players in contention ATM,
Ali
Mason
Rose,
Dier
Walker,
Kane,
Townsend (not playing ATM )

So pleased for him and I think, as is not the case sometimes, this will do him a power of good and he'll kick on from this.

Just no injuries puhlease!

Walker is actually a decent defender really. I hope that we'll be training him in that sense from now on. Get forward at times but defend defend defend. Not sure he's capable of the two job FB role. To do it consistently and effectively anyway. Hapy for all our lads. This is a nice personal fillip.

I think Walker is a car crash offensively.

Yes. Will score a barnstormer every now and then but otherwise, never really impressed. However, he's got all the physical tools and a footballing brain in that noggin of his to be one hell of a defensive FB and FB isn't an easy position to play to begin with. And if that means are flanks are never exposed then so much the better for me! I like my FBs to defend though. One FB in the two getting forward in our system is enough.

So deserves this, fantastic attitude and an intelligent player. Spurs making up half the team at the moment, with Walker, Rose, Alli, Dier, Kane and maybe Mason all in the squad. What a turn around and credit to the club for developing our youth.

Be good to see him up against Spain and France. Just hope he gets a proper run out. We're a bit thin on DM options for England so he could feasibly even start for England next summer if he performs. Even if he doesn't it's a no-brainer to at least put him in the squad for the Euros as he's got that versatility too.

Good luck to him.

Its a lot of players to cheer up every two years after England bomb out of a tournament in depressing style yet again. Oh well, hope they remember they asked for this...

Dier is currently my favourite Tottenham player.

Not just for his technical ability but for his mental strength.

The first player I can remember who has true grit and says what he feels.
