Takes some balls to step...with penalties you can tell as you ask for takers... by the look in their eyes. That said my captain stepped up and drove home the winning penalty a couple of years back having no idea how penalty shoot outs worked or that he'd won it for us...until this lot charged him(y) race.jpg celebration 2014.jpg

Not usually my modus operandi ... But I would personally carry this fella's cahonas anywhere and anytime he asks.

I've seen a couple of pictures of how focused he looked after the penalty before his was missed, when all the other lads were celebrating Pickford's save. Fair play for not getting caught up in the moment - he knew he still had a job to do and didn't want to lose focus until it was done.

I put that down to nervousness rather than focus. Sometimes when youre nervous you tend to think of nothing else but the task that you need to do. Like waiting for your turn to speak in public. You cant even laugh at the joke the person before you is telling
