He looked positionally astute for one so young...not really sure about his pace but if he id a reader of the game might not matter that much.

He did nothing spectacular but all the basics and positional play was excellent, When Davies came on he made a cock up and Dier mopped up with no drama and got on with it. He is going to be an excellent defender for us I think.;)

Looked very comfortable when playing left side with Kaboul. Didn't look so assured when he moved to the right side when paired with Fryers. But the signs look very good for one so young (and cheap).

Two comments about lack pace....

Was here really that bad or is he more of the Dawson/Terry lack of pace? e.g. Just about enough most of the time.

The other concern is I read Davies does not have much pace either. Can anyone advise on that?
