I cannot get excited about the prospect of signing Divock Origi but then I am very prejudiced by having seen him play :meh:.

Reasonable price I'm on board with this. Starting 11 is set so we need options from the bench who offer something different. We keep asking for pace and power and we could potentially have Origi, Son and even Sissoko who could all benefit us at Wembley.

Part of the problem is how "set" our starting eleven seems to be.

Several players been way to casual and some proper competition's only good to keep everbody on their toes. We have to drop this "decent backup" thinking. This isn't just regarding Origi, but the same is true for way to many of our targets.

Origi would be a bloody great signing imo. Strong, quick and dynamic.

Would most definitely have the raw ingredients for a Poch player in our system.

I'd be very intrigued to see how he would develop under Pochettino.

Genuine cover for Kane, who offers something different as well.

Origi is a very good player. I really am beginning to question the football knowledge credentials of some

I'm astonished at some of the responses in here. I'd be very pleasantantly surprised if we managed to sign him from a direct competitor.

Agreed, decent numbers for his age (22). He would definitely thrive under Poch and the quality that we have.

16/17 - 43 Total apps - 11 Goals - 4 assists.

Why would Liverpool sell to us?

Because they see hi. As a player they don't want earning wages they could be paying to other footballers they DO want and we are willing buyers. Business.

A bit of what he did last year. He has the pace and versatility to add a much needed dimension to our attack. Like some have said, I don't think he is going to supplant a starting 11 player, but who knows...he is young and has a decent body of work in the PL.

And just to add weight to Hercules comment about how we were enamored with him three years ago, I remember a whole lot on this board that were excited to see him come, just like Embolo, and that was based of ZERO PL experience. He has proven himself, so there could be worse.

Definite upgrade on Jansen and can play in more positions too.

Have a hunch that he's not our first choice though, surely we'll make this move if the special player some ITKs have suggested for Wide Forward doesn't happen.
