Not advocating signing him at all, but to say he's a cast off is not fully relevant. Sometimes players aren't a good fit for one club/manager/system, but are tailor made for another. So maybe he hasn't set the world alight, but if the management feel he has a certain skill set that we could make far better use of than Liverpool, then so be it. Personally I'm not convinced, but I just don't think he should be written off already.
What about Martial, he has not exactly been a roaring success at Utd, a team that have finished below us two years running, and he is currently a bench warmer, but does that mean he's not good enough for us, using the same criteria as Origi.

Well those quotes sound promising! If you're in the camp of thinking he'd be a good signing, which I definitely think he would be.

Liverpool are over stocked in quick, forward type of players. We're not.

If this guy was still playing in France people would be clambering for him! Now he has some PL experience people don't want him. Yes he wasn't great last year, but he is young and has hardly had any consistent game time.

Are there better players out there? Yes. Would he improve our squad if we can't get them? I think so. No need to slag the guy off.

What's the price tag? Feels like people are advocating signing him cos they think it'll be about 15m. In today's market a fast 22yr old international who has scored a few goals and has potential would surely be valued at about 30m.

Good young player but simply does not score enough goals and never will. He is another Danny Welbeck. That being said I think he is a better wide forward option than we currently have. Quite why he would come to us to sit on the bench is quite beyond me though.

We need a player to take us to the next level and I can't see how Origi is that player. I have seen quite a bit of the kid and although he has potential I don't see how he would improve us. Klopp is no mug when it comes to youth development and he did try to make it work with the kid whichly clearly it hasn't. Why would Poch be able to do any better. I have two friends who are avid Liverpool fans and both find him very selfish, not that clever (as a footballer) and has a huge tendency to over play... this is compared to Sturidge. As a back up he would be fine but personaly we should be looking for our Mane not their Origi.

We should have signed Welbeck when we had the chance. Would be a great option for us and Origi would be as well. He's still so young and has all the attributes we're missing

This sort of makes sense... he's no world beater but could be a backup to Kane or a different option late on Not really exciting, but would improve the squad a bit

Even though I'm a fan of Origi, there's something about us signing Liverpool's 3rd/4th choice striker to become our main back-up that doesn't sit well with me.

Honestly, i really don't watch enough football to have a definitive answer on how good or not he is, but he has a couple of pretty average seasons, and when i have seen him he has not looked very good at all. I don't think it is a coincidence that Liverpool have upgraded in those positions and are looking to offload him.

I have been wrong before, Wanyama being one of them, but going from Game Changer to, on face value a Liverpool cast off is not where i think we should be, even with the limitations we have.

Everton just paid a great deal for one of our cast offs. How we all wish Sigurdson was still a Lilywhite.? Personally, I feel he seems to fit the bill. We lack the attacking verve without our more attacking fullbacks and wing play. N'Koudou may still come good, but we need more than Son and a crocked Lamela. Interesting to see if this develops.

ill support him if he signs, cant do much worse than janssen, however i thought we would be able to attract better forwards tbh,
it's gonna be hard to get a good #9 to come, when they will sit on the bench for most of the season.

think that's why we are after one who can play out wide too, so there is the chance of more playing time

Why would Liverpool sell Origi to a rival on terms that Levy would find acceptable financially? Would we sell Wimmer to Liverpool on a cut rate deal if they came in with a 15 million pound bid and there were other suitors? Liverpool have held firm to a 25 million pound price for Sakho, who Klopp exiled months ago. They'll want a minimum of 30, and possibly more than that, to sell Origi to us.

A striker clearly not good enough to be a backup to a club who consistently finish below us yet people on here are actually advocating his signing...... Some of you lot need to give your heads a wobble. This is what desperation does to you.....

Thisis especially true when you consider they actually play an attacking midfielder as a striker (Firmino) over him. They did the same last season to when Sturridge was out.
