Do you support the move to East London?

So do you support Levy's plans to move to the Olympic Site?

The poll hasn't really been done. Levy thinks 99% of fans support him, so I was wondering what percentage of SC users support the move. It's a simple yes or no poll.

Btw this is regardless of whether you want to stay in Tottenham or not. If we did win the bid and the club decide this is best option for a stadium move, I want to know if you support the move.

If we move then I will support the move. Still want to stay in North London, but if the OS is the only option then It has my backing

Voted yes. The NDP's not going to happen, just look what happened to Valencia.

This poll has been done with the result that most SC'ers voted for moving to the Olympic site if it prved to be the best option, more people voted to stay whatever than voted to move whatever but most were in the middle probably wishing the NDP could deliver the same potential as the OS but ready to move if and when it was decided otherise.
It's too difficult and emotive to have a simple yes no poll format.

I dispute DL's figure of 99% but I edpect there is a large majority.

Those polls didn't really ask whether people supported the move or not and there were many options. The result to this poll would be easier to interpret. Also those polls were done before Levy's comments where he stated the NDP is 'dead in the water', this could've change people's opinion. Levy thinks 99% of fans will support his move, taking everything into consideration and regardless of whether you wanted to stay or not I want to know how many fans support the move to East London if we did win the bid.

I don't support it, but I will not stand in it's way if that's what happens.

Nobody "wants" to move from WHL. Nobody "wants" to even knock down WHL. But if the only realistic way Spurs have of evolving as a club is to relocate to a Stadium (which looks better IMO than the NDP) that is only 5 miles away, then I will still follow Spurs. I will not be happy about it, but I will embrace it.

Tottenham Hotspur is more than just a postcode to me.

I can see only two ways of having a chance at winning the league or even just being a regular CL team, first is a new stadium that will increase our income etc, the second is sell out and become another $ity, Chel$ki.

Out of the two I would take the OS every time and with the rules coming into place, it is the only option anyway.

I have given plenty stick to Chel$ki/$ity and the way they have gone about it, buying success, paying stupid wages and transfer fees that are damaging the game etc and out of the two options, the OS is by far the better way to win, we would do it the right way and success will be much more sweeter, it is the lesser of two evils.

Prefer the NDP, but will support the OS if that is our only option, staying at 36k was always the worst possible outcome for me, so I have to hope we win the bid, even if the NDP is still viable, it's not worth the risk of ending up with no new stadium at all.

Of course we all hope that even if we do win, both options are still on the table and we can then get the best possible deal for the NDP, just a great game of poker by Dan

The stadium image looks very nice it has to be said, that helps.

I'll be really gutted to see Spurs leave WHL, but if it's got to be done for the club to progress, then so be it.

Levy is a master at getting what he wants, ask most other chairman.
This time he may be using all his skills to sway us towards the OS.
The way he is dismissing the NLD as a no no, is a clever tactic by Danny ... he is now saying OS or nothing, and most of you are falling for it.Take it or leave it is the option he is giving us, no more talk of fighting to keep us where we belong.

He hasn't even taken the NLD off our official site yet...its fucking stinks.

This will sum up most people's feelings towards a move. They don't particularily want to move to Stratford, but are willing to follow the club if that is the only option.

If Spurs community is representative of Spurs fans as a whole, just another 1,361 more yes votes (with no more no votes) to go to achieve the 99% of fans Levy is confident will follow him to Stratford.

Yes. I don't really care about those 5 miles. If it was a move out of London or across the Thames, then I might be arsed.

I've voted yes, but I've voted no before. And I could vote no again. I might well vote no in a club consultation, I think. A new ground will bugger the atmosphere for good, whether in Tottenham, or especially in Stratford

But I also think that there is a divide between fans who are from the immediate surrounding area, and those who aren't, fans for whom Tottenham is, where the club is, rather than where they are rooted. I'm in that category. I love going, I'm loath to move and can recognise the moral case for us not to, more as part of a philosophy of football than because of the "dustbowl". I think I'd make the odd trip up to see Tottenham Lammyspurs or whatever they end up being called.

But Spurs being in East London doesn't hurt me in the way it obviously does Kishman. N17 is where the ground is, and the pubs are, but not much else.

It's not five miles, even as the crow flies.

Imagine Leeds United upping sticks and moving to Bradford, and still calling themselves Leeds.

I support the move full on! Stratford is still in the northern half of London is it not?
