Went to the ticket office as one for my group didn’t arrive in the post in time. At the window to my right a group of 5 European fellas we’re told their tickets were fake, another couple to my left were told their tickets were fake, then the Asian next guy in line to my right was told his ticket he bought off internet was a fake. There’s about 10 windows and queues at each one.....

One born every minute I suppose. Felt sorry for them but someone is making a killing

Poor guys . Would they have been able to get tickets on the door for Wembley at least?

Terrible if they were not able to get in and see the game as there were about 10,000 empty seats in the ground

Surely these genuine people who might well have travelled vast distances to maybe see there one and only game at Wembley were able to see the game

Say the 5 blokes had paid £50 each for the fakes, if allowed they would have had to pay about another £250 all in. The Asian gentleman had the home printed type ticket which I suppose is easiest to fake. The server at the window confirmed with his boss there was nothing they could do.

Why is this the case when there is still empty seats

Probably because there is a cut off time after which you can't buy tickets. Also season ticket holders not attending. The guy in front of me only came for the first time since early December on Saturday

I sit in 134 and had 6 seats next to me empty for the entire season, except Wimbledon where I sat in the club Wembley for a change and could see my row

If you've not bought your tickets from the club, then you've only yourself to blame.

Yeah, this.

I’m sorry but it’s really that simple. Buy tickets from the club’s official channels or take a massive risk that you’re going to be ripped off, have your day ruined or both.

It’s a real shame and these crooks need locking up, but it’s completely avoidable.

So it should also be obvious that crimes are not the fault of the victim. So, credit card refunds for them who used them. Not really much more to it

Perhaps not but you still need to be smart. If you leave your car window open with your wallet inside then maybe it's not your fault that your wallet's been stolen but equally you've not been very smart. Don't take the risk of buying from an unofficial seller for the sake of a few quid imo.

I think It’s actually illegal to buy tickets from an unofficially licensed source, from when all the hooligan legislationcame in.

I thought sites like Stubhub, ViaGoGo and Seatgeek agreed to measures to stamp out fraudulent tickets
