Yeah....this won't happen. Although he's apparently very good, he's a RW and we won't spend £30m. Also, Juventus have a buy-back clause and will have a say in any transfer. Can anyone translate Italian better than Google on here?

http://www.goal.com/it/news/7/calciomercato/2015/12/25/18694772/calciomercato-juventus-tottenham-allassalto-di-berardi-non-è?ICID=HP_BN_1

EXCLUSIVE - It heats the transfer market around Berardi: Tottenham ready to shell out a substantial figure. Juventus, however great a say.

The news of those under the tree is able to shake the Italian transfer market in January. Also because it would be one of those operations that would ensure an enormous placing money in our football. Would be that of Tottenham , a few weeks ago he has set its eyes onDomenico Berardi of Sassuolo.

The "Spurs", already since last summer would make a great long-term investment. Focus on a young man of Serie A. A little 'as what has been done in the past with the purchase of Erik Lamela, taken from Roma in the summer of 2013 for 35 million Euros. Are those in fact more or less the figures of the operation.

Indeed, the sporting director Guido Angelozzi Sassuolo wants even more and for its jewel has already made the price: € 40 million, also payable in several years and with formulas also different from the simple outright sale on the model of the agreements already taken withJuventus . The Juventus in fact the future of Berardi has great voice.

Sassuolo and Juve have close ties and relations between the two leaderships are firmly for years. Marotta last summer left Berardi in Emilia, while retaining the ability to resume over the next two years. According to provisions already laid down, Juventus could resume Berardi in July 2016 for 18 million Euros, or in July of 2017 to 25.

Clear that if Tottenham were willing to expend at least twice already this January, Juventus should give approval and consent to the transfer, or simply to communicate club Squinzi no longer interested in the player.

But then a lot will also depend on the will of the boy who this season scored 13 appearances, 3 goals and 4 assists, levels slightly lower than those achieved in the first part of last season.Berardi, according to rumors coming from those close to him, would be slightly perplexed about a possible move to Juventus.

And 'it knows that it would be one of the greatest opportunities of his career, but at the same time "concerned" could possibly find Turin the same space that is having his friend and former teammate Zaza . Very little. It might in fact think that Tottenham would be the target more just for its growth and its formation.

Meanwhile, the British company has demonstrated its interest often going to watch the matches of the young Count had also convened in national, before leaving home in the last convocation. Yet there have been no direct contact between Tottenham and Sassuolo, but indirect surveys, those will.

Through some agents, the Spurs are setting the stage for a possible assault. If they were to do so, the offer might be of those inalienable and that would help the Sassuolo to build the team's future. Searching out other Berardi and trying to impress even the whole of Italy as done so far.

One of the best young forwards in Europe right now. Can't believe Juventus haven't taken him back already to be honest.

.@DiMarzio claims Tottenham Hotspur have a concrete interest in signing Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi. #THFC

Tottenham interested in Berardi: the situation

Sassuolo is having another strong season under coach Di Francesco, and their best players are making a name for themselves on the transfer market- especially Domenico Berardi. Tottenham is one of the teams interested, they are taking concrete steps to invest in Italy as they did in the Lamela deal. Sassuolo however already has a pact with Juventus who could use a buy back clause next July for €25 million, which is a lower price than Sassuolo's current €35/40 million valuation of Berardi. In the meantime, Tottenham is monitoring the situation, Berardi could be heading to Premier League.

It's confusing with Italian clubs, there's all co-ownership deals and it get's hard to follow. I might be wrong but I think Juve could've bought his contract outright but decided against it and now he's fully owned by Sassuolo. But I think Juve still have first refusal on him up until the summer if they want to take him back.

The DiMarzio link makes this more interesting. I guess we really are interested...

Apparently he works hard defensively, only second to Lamela in terms of tackles per game compared to the rest of our wingers (and Eriksen) from what I can see.

Noticed his numbers at the beginning of the vid, involved in nearly a goal a game. That is outstanding from primarily a winger position.

His burst into runs in behind is really a joy to watch. Makes things very difficult for defenders with that kind of timing and explosion away. No idea why Juve would entertain the idea of releasing this guy given his production in their league, but he does look like a player who would be a success in the EPL.

Brilliant talent, but genuinely don't think there's any chance we're even after him.

He's far too good to be a back-up to Kane, and I don't think he fits into our current front 4 (with Dembele). Who's he going to replace?

Would absolutely love him, has been a fantasy signing for a number of season and every single thread that gets made i always excite myself too much even tho i know its very unlikely we will get him. If we do somehow get him i think he will fit in perfectly.

It's like a fever, the transfer window. When names like Berardi get thrown in the mix, I start twitching.
I get the impression Levy would spend big(ish) if Poch and Mitchell pushed for this- we were looking at 23+ million on the more limited Berahino. But as already mentioned, the deal is complicated by Juve's buyback clause. Is anyone knowledgable about how this might work. Despite the poor translations from the sources above, there seems to be a suggestion that if a club paid enough, Juve's buyback wouldn't matter but that could just be nonsense.
See, I'm twitching already when I should be finishing the Boxing Day morning dishes.

I still think Juve's buyback clause is easier to cope with than Jeremy Peace (opinion)

Baffles me when someone says a player is "too good" to sign for us, until they go to a mega club like Bayern, Barca, Real etc. No player is too good.
