There are two reason why England have brought him into the squad, One being injuries and the other to prevent Nigeria getting their mitts on him.

The only logical reason he got in ahead of Dier.

I actually agree with Roy here. I really like Alli and I think he'll have a great deal of influence on how the club does in the next few years. However, he's not the finished article yet. In a few years time he could be the country's leading midfielder but if we're honest, the likes of Spain or Germany aren't worried about facing him next year. Because we've already qualified, there's no risk in giving him game time.

If Woy thinks that then he better not pick Alli tonight. I expect that Alli will take to the international stage and shine immediately ... Regardless of who he plays against. He is that good.

What a breath of fresh air he has been ...

Ali is s far better player than Delph why put Delph back in over Ali if you want to build for the future / win you need players better than Delph.

I say this in relation to the article about Ali being in cause of injuries yes they have let him in but I think diet and Ali are far better options than Delph.

Every pro that's had something to say about this has said Woy's got this wrong, that Alli is a carrot merchant rather than needing the stick and that encouraging him to "compete at every level open to him" would've gotten a better response.

However it pans out, the way Spurs have courted him and the way the locker room spirit appears to be coming together again, i'm sure he won't let it affect his domestic game. I'm coming to the conclusion he is actually quite a smart lad who's being well advised, as well as a terrific talent.

2 mins into the game he gets his 6th nutmeg of the season. This boy is special. Roy Hodgson wouldn't recognise special unless it had a Man U shirt on.
