Difficult times on the stadium now.. it will have to wait till CPO High Court appeal is dismissed, with no leave to appeal again. Then hopefully all systems go...

We'd have moved years ago if so many "fan" groups didn't keep voting against it.

I can understand not wanting to move as far at MK, but we'd never permanently move there.
As long as we built something in northish London we keep our heritage and get a new stadium.
I just can't see it working out on the current site. Even if it did and, even with renewed infrastructure, I still think it's a shitty place to get too and from, by car or train.
It'll take more than a new station to fix that.

"Financial chasm between the top 4 and the rest of the League"? I think Everton are on the way to breaking into that club.
I believe they are on the way to building a 40-50,000 seat stadium. They also have possibly the best coach in the League (Martinez) and player-for- player can almost go toe-to-toe with the big boys.
Plus their Chairman fully supports his coach in signing the players he wants.
All that in the same city as Liverpool F.C.....but I will still support my bumbling, second-rate Spurs who can't seem to get anything right.

I imagine a deal will be struck on the steps outside the High Court.

Move elsewhere.

Yep lets move elsewhere. Lets spend a year looking. Another 2 years getting planning permission. Another year buying up land. Another 3 years getting CPO's and High Court appeals out of the way.

Or wait for our High Court hearing then build the stadium in Tottenham.

Fans holding us back by refusing to move, makes you think does it not.

Interesting the point that was made in the article about how the club could have increased its capacity (taking into account corporate seating) to 50K by now.

Everton are no closer to breaking into it than we are, I think Mourinho would out coach almost anyone else on the planet and no, player to player they aren't better than us (theres no-one I would swap apart from the 2 full backs), I think our chairman does a good job in the circumstances we have and has supported his managers financially more than Everton have been able to.

That Lukaku isn't too shabby either, and I'd take Barkley and Mirallas as well.

Hi 'Ube....' I just don't see how you can make some of the statements you have without at least a brief comment on each. On the Stadium issue; They appear to be forging ahead with their plans, whereas Spurs seem hopelessly bogged down in theirs; Your "player-to-player" comment : Do we have a left-back as good as Baines, or forwards such as Lukaku and Mirallas? And their chairperson appeared to really go all out to sign the players Martinez wanted....especially Lukaku. Our 'strategy' is: buy the cheaper players now and wait 'till the Jan. window and let's see how Stumbali et al. are doing before we maybe try to upgrade. Admittedly we may have found a diamond or two this past window to sell on, at least that's what we are all hoping arn't we?
Meanwhile that Everton team just look slicker and slicker....
