No reliable sources, but there are rumours flying around in the media today, saying he's available for roughly £30m and we are supposedly one of several interested English clubs.

I do not know about us, but my friend who is acquainted with Costa's people (mandates etc)believes will be hard to sign due to medical history with his knees (or knee). Apparently lot of interest in him (not sure if we are one). He expects various clauses negotiated because of this, with a very stringent medical, which is not a guarantee he would pass allegedly.

Bayern had warned his agent to stop putting pressure on a new deal and kind of bluntly said deal wont be renewed. So, if Costa's agent is looking for more money, I won't put any money on Costa to Spurs...

I had quoted this already (above) from Bild...Valuation is correct but we are not linked yet...

Don't see how he fits any bill in what Poch would look for tbh. Again just an opinion.

No chance whatsoever of us going for him don't bother even pondering it, we will sign relative unknowns or promising younger players, we never sign players who have been at one of europes elite clubs and we never sign proven quality players, it's our way and don't think it'll change this summer.

Juve deal risk of not going through due to technical reasons....

Bild reporting this....

http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/bayern-muenchen/costa-deal-vor-dem-aus-52436400.bild.html

Actually the change from Bayern star Douglas Costa (26) to Juventus Turin was almost certain. The Italians offered 40 million euros as a transfer. The Brazilian was also almost in agreement with the club. But now the transfer still threatens to burst.
The reason: Serie A clubs may only oblige two non-EU foreigners per season . The first new at Juve is Uruguay's professional Rodrigo Bentancur (20 / Boca Juniors). The second is now, according to the Spanish sports newspaper "AS" Real-Star Danilo (25), The Brazilian is to come for around 20 Mio and replacement for Alves.

Most certainly, this is not happenning anymore. Wonder, who else will take him now. Would love him at Spurs, but as others said here, its hard to see us paying 40m Eur & paying 100k a week.

Not totally impossible IMO. Finances are tight granted, but we're not skint.

£35m is a decent price, not sure on wages, Juve despite being a big club I believe are in a similar wage bracket to us. Would be an exciting deal but not sure if we'd go for it.

Quick google search puts Juve's top earner season before last at 4.5m Euro a season, which is circa £75k. This season they only had Higuain and Pjanic over the 100k mark, although in pounds Pjanic drops under.
