Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas looks set to depart White Hart Lane in the summer, with Sunderland and Birmingham linked with a move.

Spurs are set to seal a deal for 21-year-old midfielder Sandro from Internacional in the summer and it is thought Jenas will be deemed surplus to requirements once Sandro arrives.

It has now been reported Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will cash-in on Jenas during the summer.

Sunderland and Birmingham City have both been linked with a move for Jenas, it is thought a fee of around £5million will be enough to secure his services.

    kewl. gt it done.

on a more important note... Fulham are caving in to city ffs .. cmon fulham show some backbone and do us a favour
  2. nferno
im not gonna blame fulham for not trying against man shitty, their priorities lie with the FA cup game on wednesday so fairplay really.. we would do the same in their situation most likely.

I can see why Konchesky thinks we should be running scared of them. Arse! I was hoping Fulham would do us a favour. Oh well still time to get a draw out of it.

You get an article that's actually about JJ, though it's all speculation, and nobody can even bother to address it.
Sandro isn't actually with us yet and is not a replacement for JJ.
He is a backup for Palacios and replacement, if for anyone, it would be for Kaboul and Ohara if he moves on.
He won't be available immediately and will probably need half a season to recover from his own full season as Pavlyuchenko did before getting soome time to settle in.

JJ has been poor lately possibly because he has been carrying a groin injury, but he has been part of a very successful and improving squad.

So don't send him too many 'missing you' already cards. We will need a bigger and more upgraded squad if we make Champions' League this season and Jenas will be an important squad member.

well said jg good 2 c an intelligent comment jj is part of the team n still an important part of the team. n we must bring o'hara bak in 2 the 1st team fold think the loan 2 pompey has made him grow up n become a much btr player then wen e was wiv us.

JJ is worth double that amount in the current market.

5 million quid - you must be joking. It if was us buying him from somewhere else we would be quoted upwards of 10-12 million. I'd rather keep him as back-up than sell him for that.

What happened to Inter? He'll probably go up to Sunderland and live in another gold fish bowl.

"We will need a bigger and more upgraded squad if we make Champions' League this season and Jenas will be an important squad member".

Exactly Jimmy G2. This sort of article is pure speculation: (i) we won't decide our precise transfer policy until we know if we're playing CL football next Season or not (ii) if we are in CL we are way too light in midfield to be selling a decent box-to-box player of near England quality like Jenas (iii) if we do sell Jenas he'll be worth more than £5m unless valuations fall drastically.

To play in CL and PL simultaneously (with any hope of coming in the top 4 next Season) you need a squad like Man Utd's. For every Rooney and Nani, they have a Ji-Sung Park and Darren Fletcher for sweat, and a Giggs and Scholes for experience. We won't compare with United's squad next Season but we'll need to get closer. In my opinion, Jenas offers something different to Palacios, Huddlestone, Modric and even Sandro that would not be at all easy to upgrade.

We should keep Jenas, he's still a good player, in certain games Palacios Jenas partnership will be need also would also like to see JJ with Modric in the middle.

All I know is that in just over 2 months I will lose the bet I made 3 years ago that JJ would be in the first XI for England at the next world cup.

I wouldn't sell him unless there was a good offer and a better replacement, but he has disappointed incredibly given his talent.

JJ and Modric in the middle of the park? We would have less tackle than Bobbit.

And it comes to pass...Jenas and Zokora are not the midfield THFC require.
