Loved Edgar.
Although we saw him on the downward trail of his career he normally gave 100%.
Never forget that spear tackle on Ray (Charlie Dimmock) Parlour who was playing for Middlesbrough at the time - turned him 180 degrees upside down so that he landed on his head In front of the East Stand if I remember! :).

The signing of Davids and Naybet for me finally gave me some hope we were heading in the right direction, both immense, steely leaders on the pitch which was something we'd lack for a long time.

The signing of Naybet went a long way to making Ledley the masterpiece that he was.

I've found it! - might have exaggerated a little but it was hilarious at the time and fair play to Parlour for not rolling around like a tart!.

I've always loved this team. There was a time when a man in a raincoat took charge and it wasn't that easy. Signing Davids, watching Davids cheered me up no end.
