They've beaten Brighton, Palace and West Ham on their march to the top of the table...this is definite proof that this is their year.

Also they best West Ham 4-0, who have a superior squad than we do.

February 27th 2008: “We can’t keep talking about next season all the time. There is only so many times you can say it and believe it. Sooner or later we have to make one season the season where we make it happen and do the talking on the pitch. We need to make people believe it. I’m 27 now, I don’t want to be talking about next season for Liverpool when I’m 32.”

In this day and age you just have to realise most ‘pundits’ are barely even experts on the game. They are agenda-led, biased and spout the same old cliches week after week.

I would make Gary Neville the clear exception to this.

I had the displeasure of listening to Robbie Savage on a drive home tonight. He stated 100 times about how Liverpool will win the league and Klopp is the Messiah.

He continually slagged off Poch for never winning anything. Said he improves players but is not a winner.

I just laughed at his utter bullshit and love the fact we have finished above the incredible Liverpool almost every year. Is it 8 times out of last 9?! Haha.

Oh and let’s applaud the genius Klopp who is spending a fortune to achieve this level of greatness us humble Spurs aspire to.

If Savage is referring to Klopp as a "winner", someone should remind him that Klopp has lost 6 out of 7 finals in his managerial career. That to me, is not the trait of a winner.

As much as I hate Mourinho, he's a winner when it comes to delivering trophies.

We don't get the profile we deserve, but probably half the problem is caused by our PR or lack of it.
I know what you mean
but it's a race you can't win
the goalposts will keep moving.
Achieve one thing and they switch to something else.

We won the 'prestigious' International Champions Cup
but that obviously doesn't count.
Win a cup and the emphasis will be on the league.
Win the league and stress will be on the Champion's League.
Win the next game
and it will refocus on 'it's a marathon, not a sprint'

Personally it suits me to fly beneath the radar
without hyping up everything.
Let the football do the talking.

I think listening to Robbie Savage whilst driving should incur penalty points and a fine akin to using your mobile.

How could one concentrate whilst having to listen to that clueless twerp's ramblings.

This may seem like the rambling of a guy who is simultaneously blow-drying piss from the legs of his jeans but he raises a wider point

If the state-owned media company show bias is that bad ? If they are completely neutral is that boring or is it a bit obvious that that they are ? For me, it's important that they ask questions and if they don't you have your answer

Have they ever asked Nigel Farage how he was saying that a Norway deal would be fine before the referendum but afterwards he was saying it would be a betrayal of the vote ? No. Why ? One can only speculate that it has something to do with all of the conservative doner affiliates added to the board in recent years.

The BBC has been compromised completely and should be disbanded. Whether they like Liverpool or not is the least of our problems

Liberals think the BBC is a conservative mouthpiece, conservatives think the BBC is a liberal mouthpiece, Brexiters think it's remain propaganda and remainers think it's pro-brexit propaganda. It could just be it's as balanced as it can be and people prefer conspiracy theories and passing responsibility from themselves rather than actually engage with the issues around them. Except John Humphreys, he's a prick.

Anyway, lets not derail the thread and keep all political debate to it's proper place, the thread about cartoons strips.

To be honest when i read that on the bbc it pissed me off as well, mainly because it was poorly written which made it seem factually incorrect, but part of me did think 'well this is the media narrative for this season, why has football become like WWE'

Dont really understand the shit the OP is getting to be honest, been a hell of a lot worse put on here. It seems to be off topic posts are fine if its from a well known contributor.

If you dont like the post, dont read it or respond, surest way for it to fall by the wayside

It's a conspiracy, either Spurs Community really sucks or they are just completely biased against you.

Robbie Savage is the definition of imbecilic.

The guy predicted us to finish 6th last season (it's on the record) yet when we finished 3rd and sealed top four with games to spare he changed his tune to "Spurs have gone backwards from 2nd to 3rd and not challenging for the league" basically.

I guarantee you if we win the League Cup the tune will change from "never wins anything" to "never won a major trophy".

I'll listen to the likes of Gary Neville, Carragher, Souness about how we're doing since they look at it with a bigger context. Heck even Wright and Keown are more fairer in their analysis these days although that might be because of their pessimism with Arsenal.

But Robbie fucking Savage is a simpleton of the highest order.

I can only echo what others have said. Don't be so sensitive, it stinks of an inferiority complex. There really isn't a media agenda, I've seen many, many glowing pieces about Poch and this Spurs team. Unfortunately Liverpool have started this season in fine form and are getting the plaudits from the media, deservedly so. How do we stop that? Well, it starts by winning tomorrow against united.

Ironically, go on to RAWK or any other Liverpool forum and they have people moaning about how the BBC are biased towards London clubs including Tottenham. There is no bias.

It doesn't matter if we are hated by the media. We are family, we are Spurs fans and we stick together. I don't have very many friends but when I travelled to London from Belfast for the Fulham game it felt like I was surrounded by family, friends. People were asking me to take phots for them and then done the same for me. A woman took me from Liverpool St Station all the way to Wembley. Then my phone died and two other Spurs fans walked me to my hotel using their phone. Feck the BBC, The Sun...ect We are a family and I'm proud to have been part of it for nearly 40 years. COYS ????❤❤
