I know I’ve moved to a massive club in the biggest league in world football. This is an excellent team, full of good professionals, and it’s a team that is capable of competing and finishing high up in the table.

“This is what the project means to me. I have the desire to develop at this club and they have made me feel wanted. I’m very grateful to them for bringing me here.

“I can guarantee supporters that I will give my all to help drive the club back to where I feel it belongs – in the top positions, as well as in cup competitions.”

Well that’s that sorted then. Why didn’t someone make this guarantee earlier?

Ah, that lovely word 'project' again. Which has a special meaning when used in a spurs context. With an inference of it being perpetually never nearly done.

Good to hear positive soundbytes but that's All they are. Actions Mr Royal, show us on the pitch.

He's showed some promise after a dodgy first game, but most of our signings seem to be players on the fringe of other teams rather than those that have a big influence on games. I long for the days when our finances change in this regard.

New club. New country young player. More than happy to give the kid some time. Doesn’t get snapped up by Barca for being average. Think he will come good. Right mentality. ?

The delightful irony of putting "guarantee" in quote marks.

Let’s hope he calls it in one day and we can sing ‘He’s the king of Amazon Stadium, Tottenham, Royal, Royal,’
