Just read the article on the official site (gonna stop calling it the OS as it just makes me think of the Olympic shambles), but this bit really made me chuckle;

He said: “Tottenham has always been a good club. I know a lot of the players and I have a lot of friends here, so when I got the call to come and join the Club and to help the Club achieve what they want to achieve, I quickly said yes.

Quickly? QUICKLY?? This has dragged on for weeks! If that's quick, then i wonder if you've lost a bit of pace in the closed season :lol:

Never mind, done and dusted, now score some goals, you hilarious windup merchant :dance:

Not sure If it's been discussed in the thread but I think its disgusting that a team can buy up lots of players then loan them out to other teams in the same league who are then not allowed to play that player against the side they've been loaned from

What a mockery it makes of our league and gives all the other clubs around City challenging for the title a huge disadvantage.

You should only be allowed to loan players out to the Championship or abroad (and to clubs not in the same European Comp) The sooner the premier league brings this rule in the better

It's bugged me more and more over the last few seasons as it appears to be becoming the norm in loan deals. Not so much an issue with Chelsea, they don't appear to be preparing to make an utter mockery of the FIFA financial fairplay rules, but Citeh's brand new sponsorship deal (which contributes to the football side of the club and therefore can be included in the "incomings" column on the balance sheet they send to FIFA), inexplicable for any other reason than to skirt around this issue. It's a ridiculous amount, and even though i'm the most un-accountant person on these boards, the way it is arranged looks more like a money laundering operation than a sponsorship deal.

With that kind of financial power and the ability to just summon more money in sponsorship virtually at will, we see the beginnings of them stockpiling players to loan to other teams, safe in the knowledge that no matter how much they help their rivals, they can just stitch in this clause that stops them playing against Citeh.

It's practically allowing a rival to influence your squad selection and therefore possibly influence the outcome of the game before a ball is even kicked.

Real Madrid's Emmanuel Adebayor talks honestly and openly about his relationship with Roberto Mancini, reveals he nearly signed for Tottenham and discusses Arsenal's failings and what makes Jose Mourinho so special.

Makes me think we could see him in a lillywhite shirt next season...

After watching this video all I am going to say is:

"Welcome, Emmanuel!!! You are finally where you belong."

Yes, it is.
It is up to UEFA to make a stand...the £400 million sponsorship package Mansour gave Citeh is the most obvious get out, isn't it.

Adebayor, Adebayor
You've made our team rich
