Ah great, English teams to be banned from European competitions just as we're back in the Champions League...

Is it really that hard to have a beer on holiday and not punch someone?
You've been on the sauce for eight hours, someone throws a chair/fist/bottle at you or one of your mates, natural reaction to deal with it in a retaliatory manner.
It's all well and good to say they shouldn't be provoked but if they've thrown 15 pints down their throats so that's what they'll do.
What I don't understand though is when you get guys who are over 35 still running around acting like they are still 21...

English men act rowdy and stupid when on holiday and drinking , we have done for years. Most of the time we don't mean any harm its just our way . The rest of the world don't understand our banter/humour/moronic behaviour
Your onto something there.. Most fans of all different countries get drunk, sing songs & make fools of themselves.. English, Scottish welsh & Irish.. all do it & it's harmless shenanigans.. Why a section of England fans are hated from what I have witnessed & heard from fans of opposing countries is not so much a history of English fan violence from the past.. It's that there are some real arseh*les who follow England who have a superiority complex.. Rule Britania & all that sh*t .. there just arrogant ars*s

No respect

It's the English stiff upper lip, island folk and so on

All that repression leads to binge this, binge that

It's got to come out somewhere, sometime

Fair point but it works both ways, most of the English fans are good well behaved people and are getting pre judged by other countries fans/police because of the reputation and past actions of England fans.
England are a bit like Spurs as we seem to be hated on a wide scale and many team consider us their main rivals (scots Welsh Irish French Germany)

I'll be honest.. been Irish we love nothing more than see English fans get there hopes up & then to be crushed.. we just find it funny.. My two closest friends are English & I love the English banter & humour.. as you say & it is 1000% correct the majority of England fans are A1 & just want a bit of craic.. What I will say is though thst section that think there british that they are better than everybody else doesn't endear English fans to other countries

Just arrived in Marseille got to our apartment in the old port just as the French game was finishing as soon as the game finished it all kicked off outside. Bottles, chairs, fire works being thrown gangs fighting each other then three of the loudest bangs I've heard thought it was a bomb going off as loads of people running and screaming turned out to be tear gas. Was crazy for about half an hour all calm now but do wonder what tomorrow is going to be like.

What a surprise. Not.

English fans no understanding of what's going down in this country socially & politically

Not saying they caused or deserved - but things are not normal here & Marseilles is not a 'normal' place
