About time. He was like the only English striker to score last weekend. So you reckon Bent will start? Or Defoe? Or will Mclaren opt for 4-3-3.

Probably 4-5-1 with neither Defoe nor Bent playing. :-(

Yeah, probably be Crouch up top as a lone striker

It wouldn't surprise me, but that sounds so like playing for a draw, and we all know what'll happen if he does that. He has to go for the win, and I have to admit I would go for Crouch and Bent up front.

I think Hargreaves should have more chance of playing than Bent, but then i dont usaly agree with what McClaren does so it will probably be Bent.

Realy dont know what im gonna do for this game, cheering on England and for them to win means we keep the mupet as manager.....

It was just yesterday when Hoddle was saying 4-3-3 but it's really going to turn out to be 4-5-1. Which is stupid considering we are at home. Just because Owen is out doesn't mean Bent or Defoe can't do as good as him. But you are right, McLaren like an igiot he is, will go for 4-5-1. And that's almost certain after i read this quote by Mclaren.

We have enough strikers here now, Defoe, Bent and Peter Crouch and at the end of the day, we only need one goal. But the main thing is a clean-sheet, if we keep a clean-sheet we are there.

So he'll probably play the following and we'll bore our way to a 1-0 win or a goalless draw and i don't think he'll include any spurs players.

-----------------Carson---------------

Richards--Campbell---Lescott---A Cole (if fit)

----------Hargreaves or Barry-----------

Beckham-Gerrard---Lampard----J Cole

---------------Crouch--------------

Some interesting England ITK from HoofHarted on COYS. HoofHarted for those that don't know, knows Darren Bent.

R Sol and Richards as CB's

Bridge at LB.

I would play:

Wright-Phillips...Gerrard...Barry......Young

...................Crouch...Defoe

For some reason, I have a new-found faith in Crouch.

It seems that the only three fully functional ones are Bent, Crouch and Defoe. Everyone else is crocked or has sunk without trace (Nugent). And there's Wallmart, of course, who was apparently the nuts against Bulgaria except that he couldn't find the back of the net.

Luka Modric is a star. He isn't Croatia's captain though, Niko Kovac is.

As I am of Croatian descent and due to the fact that we have already qualified, I really couldn't care less about the fixture. Though it would be awesome to win at Wembley.
