Englands next match is a friendly against France at the SdF in March.

I say scrap it and don't bother lining up any others either. Pointless

Still at least we have the WC qualifiers starting next year

Good call N10-17
my sentiments entirely, although I was born an Irishman my kids are all English. I'm ferkin gutted tonight but maybe the superstars will come good - ???

Cheers TCO, my whole family are all Irish, just me and my sister as the black sheep of the family, wish some of our "superstars" could actually play a bit, for me Rooney is the only English player who has a genuine bit of class.

Oh and I saw on another post your an ex Iggy, same here

Although I think you were there a while before me. AMDG I hated writing that. !!!!!!

Not that it had any bearing on the result, but the pitch was an absolute disgrace, like something back in the 60s and 70s. When you think what the old Wembley pitch was like, and how good the top Premiership pitches are nowadays, there is no excuse. Sack the ground staff too.

Didn't stop Croatia passing to each others feet though. Strange how the shit pitch seemed to make Gerrard hit every pass at 100 mph (even if his team mate was only 10 yards away) or 50ft in the air.

According to the Telegraph his passing success rate was 69%, which is truly abysmal for a midfielder of his supposed class. Frankly, I'd had enough by half-time and switched over for 'Heroes'. I went back for the last five minutes, just in time to see Gerrard hit the ball out of play ten yards ahead of an unmarked Beckham. Then Lampard lost possession and the ball rolled out of play on the left. An increasingly demented Motty hailed this with, 'Lampard's forced a throw-in'. He must have been the only person watching who read it that way.
