Wonder if it's those four, or the sight of big Victor stood in the background :)

yes agree, a bit of both probably :) .. I know it sounds odd but i find Wanyama to be a 'sporting & honest' destruction machine.. i haven;t seem him trash someone out of retribution.. but i miss lots when watching games so he may do so

Dier, Lamela, Rose and Alli on the other hand ..:whistle:

Wanyama's one of those guys who's always been the hardest dude wherever he's been - Kenya, Scotland, the PL - he doesn't even have to try the naughty stuff.

If he goes it wpuld mean levy would have gone against the wishes of poch
I think our swift rebuttal was Levy driven to chill the fans out and more importantly to reassure Poch he's not having sneaky meetings behind his back selling his players without his permission.
It's very rare we come out to the press like this, normally we don't comment on any rumours.

but a lot of fans have been calling for this type of action (and frankly stronger) so perhaps the message is getting through at HQ

How do you know we did? You're assuming we did. Don't assume. We NEVER give the press any comment. Not even during the Bale saga. Why would we start now?

pretty obvious it was Spurs driven based on who reported and what they said

Maybe, problem with that is we'll be talking to the press every week at this rate.

Multiple journalists tweeted the exact same thing about us not listening to offers for Dier and not being in talks for Kovacic at pretty much the exact same time. Basically a press release. And we did release a statement in 2011 when Chelsea wanted Modric.

Levy has never just sold a key player because of the money on offer - especially to a rival.
Agree, we have only sold when the player is determined to leave or we no longer want/need.
This Dier situation is driven by the player not the Club and especially not by the money on offer.
