Don't call my view dumb because it's different to yours.
Imo your talking utter bollocks making a comparison between Lamela and Coutinho.
I didn't go into depth granted but is it necessary?
Surely you don't think I'm basing my assessment of Lamely purely on his goals scored? That would be dumb.

You said, "A man with one leg would be a improvement so thats not much of an ask is it." That really is a dumb assesment.
I did NOT compare Lamela with Coutinho - is just a link that compared their stats.

Dont know how true this is but I would like to see him gone. I have long called him flattery man and had been given negative ratings as I have called him as I see it. I'm not going to look at his reputation, I will only look at what he has done for us and now he has been given enough time in my book. I dont think he will impress in this league though some people go OTT about the limted things he has done. Actions speak louder than words and if it is the fact the club are willing to move him on (as he has already been dropped and only bought back due to no viable alternative), that will be as it has been decided he isnt suitable for this league.
The thing that could hitch this is Levys valuation.

agree but I would like to see him given one more season.

Yes ok mate.
Obviously that statement was in no way an exaggeration and was meant to be taken literally.

Question: Has he done any worse than Lallana at Liverpool who went for similar money but with the benefit of actually playing in England his whole career to date??? Any reports of teams offering him an escape from Liverpool???
O..M..G
Seriously?
I'd take Lallana in a fkin heartbeat over Lamela.
I can only presume you've never seen either of them play to come out with that comparison.
The fact your post got a couple of agree ratings made me chuckle.

I still believe this guy can be a top notch player - but not in the EPL. Some players are simply not made for the EPL but will prosper elsewhere.
Spurs should still be able to get £20M+ for because, apart from the talent he's shown in the past (at Roma), he's shown that he's got the right attitude and work rate - as opposed to Ade - which is important for his eventual new club.
I was never keen him as very few offenseive players hailing from Seri A have made it in the EPL.
Ironically, one of them is Coutinho who's compared with Lamelea in this link:

Thought I should mention I agree with everything you said.
Just lost me with that comparison.

Maybe for a player with no progression/regression or who never plays (Chiriches). But for a player with lots of matches and progression, I see it differently.
No worries mate.
All about opinions innit :)
Thing is we're all very passionate and convinced we're right so gets a bit heated lol.

I hate how the title of the article says he's offered an 'escape', as if he's being forced to stay here unwilling, despite the fact he's stated publicly that he's happy. On the substance of the article, personally I'd wait another season to se how he progresses, because of injury I'm cladding this as his first season and 6 assists and 2 goals is not a poor return, certainly nowhere near as bad as some are claiming he's been.

I can't believe some of the stuff being said after all the times Lamela took MOTM and kicked ass! It's the system that needs Lamela to function effectively and as you know that's a work in progress. I say he STAYS! Godammit!

I also class this as Lamela's first season due to previous injury. He Is a great team player you can clearly see the potential he's got too so another season is simple logic.

Lamela behind the main striker is the position I'd like to see him play
