"Christian only wants to focus himself on football"

Rough translation = hedging his bets until the summer window. Can't blame him for that I guess, but hoping he stays as players of his type are hard come by.

Well we have to wait and trust Eriksen signs up...he is worth waiting for. Martial is an example of a player many thought would leave United ended up signing a new contract.

Martial signed up when they got rid of Mourinho. The fact that Eriksen hasn't signed up tells me that he'll be off if RM come in for him. Sad but true IMO.

They are reporting on Sky today that Madrid would offer Bale as a sweetner in a deal for either Eriksen or Hazard, would we swap ?

hmmmm could be a mouthwatering forward line, although would leave us with none of the funds for a replacement and he's so crucial to our play

If there was a choice of Keep Eriksen or swap for Bale, I'd keep Eriksen all day long.

If there was no choice, I don't see Bale as the answer.

Bale is injury prone and older. We need to move on, not back. Besides he couldn't replace Erriksen. A squad player at best maybe. Late sub kinda thing but on much lower pay than current salary !!

Total journalist 2+2 work. They know RM are interested in Eriksen, they’re fairly sure Bale isn’t central to their plans anymore.
Given his astronomical wages, it’s highly unlikely.
Chelsea however I see as much more plausible

Swap? Not for me. Bale's nearing the end of his career. Eriksen is far more valuable to us than Bale would be. Bale plus $60m, maybe.

Lets get it right Bale is world class and he would make a difference to any team . It would never happen though as Bales on £600,000 plus a week at Real.

Eriksen signing a new contract at Spurs isn’t far fetched.

A sensible post at last

If Eriksen was staying he would have signed by now, every other player we've wanted to has. He's clearly looking at what his options are, which is fine, but to me it shows a lack of commitment to both the manager and club. He's a great player and I want him to sign, but it would leave a bad taste if any player was like ... 'I'm not interested in signing yet, no clubs come in, oh yeah Id love to sign' I dont think Spurs should be 2nd best to anyone.

He's on nowhere near that. 350k a week - still a stratosphere away from our reach but 600k is just ludicrous.
If any swap deal is to be considered, it's 100m plus Isco.

There's no loyalty in football. Even King would have left had it not been for his knees. We made Eriksen who he is, he's gonna say tah very much and move. We just have to know beforehand and sell him for the best price possible unless he signs before the summer window.
We can't afford for him to be our Ramsey.

Whilst this is true, I respect the fact it hasn't affected his performance on the pitch.

Both him and Toby are pros.

He's the next cash cow to be offered up for a big profit by DL, I'm almost positive of it.

As much I think DL is a tad stingy, I don’t think he offers up our top talent.

It’s more like, if their head gets turned he makes sure he gets the most he can.
