Tottenham Hotspur were accused of throwing away a fortune in the transfer market last summer, but among the failures stood one undoubted success story.

If he get's injured, we're buggered.

And that's why our squad isn't as great as most people seem to think.

Think the article is a little far fetched thinking he is off to Madrid... While I don't disagree he is talented, and he had a good season amongst a load of rubble last year, he hasn't the composure in possession that Modric had, nor the breathtaking pace and ability to go past players like Bale... He has good technique but needs to continue to work on his strength, as once Modric got to grips in that regards we then saw the quality he had.

I would love to see Erikson play with two up top to take advantage of his ability to deliver. With both Adebayor and Soldado lurking in and around the six yard box he has the ability to pick them out, not a skill we have seen from Lennon, Townsend or Lamela yet.

I am disappointed to lose Siggy, but I'm not sure about signing the Argentinian CB we have been linked with... I can't understand why we let Caulker leave...

Serge Aurier would have been brilliant to snap up before his performances at the World Cup put him in the limelight...

I know what you're saying, but we're 'buggered' every season, cause we've always got one, two or even three key players injured at the same time. I can't remember the last time we've actually been able to field our strongest first 11?! We've got to deal with it, so other players will have to step up when Eriksen is injured. We do have a serious lack of creativity though, so hopefully Poch will be a better tactician than the last lot and actually have a plan B!

He`s not a finished article yet but he is determined from very early days to be successful. Our next big star I reckon.

I do rate him as a player, but he didn't play particularly well on Saturday and we still won.

Trouble is no one knows what our strongest starting XI because as you said, too many injuries plus we've too many on the books who are not played in their best position!

Eriksen is the perfect player if the rest of the team is organised around him so that he can do what he does best....create!
If he was injured we would be ok, but the tactics would have to change. But we still have the squad to cope.
I believe he will get better and this season will be even better for him.

If he can perform the whole season like he did for the last 15 games of the last campaign, he's easily worth 35 million pounds.

Getting irritated by the constant reference to failure of the new players, the only one really that could be considered a failure is Soldado and even still he played quite well in some games. I think it would be fair to say that Roberto was also a victim of a manager whose risk averse approach completely blunted our attack full stop not just him.

He has however missed a couple of real sitters and clearly lacking confidence as well as adapting to a new country and league.
