Someone also said that eriksen had the most assists in 2017 across europes top five leagues after sunday...

Maybe football whispers should stay just whispered and not talked about

I think it's best you leave before any trouble starts...

Come on mate you've had too much to drink, I know you didn't mean it.

As Everton said in its Sigurdsson announcement yesterday, out of all the midfielders in the Prem - Eriksen has contributed to the most goals since the start of 2014/15. Massive swing and a miss from the author.

Morning everyone,

Hope you're all well.

Dan Kilpatrick, the ESPN Spurs correspondent, has done another piece for the website again. This time it's looking at why Christian Eriksen needs to be more consistent.

"The Dane’s biggest problem is a relatively simple one, however. For the last three seasons, he has consistency failed to be consistent. Last year, his sublime form from Christmas followed a quiet start to the season – admittedly in common with many of his Tottenham teammates – while in 2015-16 he faded in the run-in after an excellent start."

Eriksen needs to add more consistency to his game.

Cheers,

Sam

Seriously? If you had of written this article a season or 2 ago I'd accept it but he was emense last season. Take a bit of time to analyse a player's stats and watch him before you write articles, so far all I see with your site is clickbate.

He's the most important player in our squad by quite a long distance, it's amazing we haven't lost him for any period of time due to injury since we signed him.... I really hope that isn't me scudding us .

I I don't know who Dan Kilpatrick is, and frankly I don't care, but he clearly needs to watch Spurs play far more often than he does.

Statistically, Eriksen is one of the most productive midfielders on a number of levels, in the whole of Europe.

Here's a link...http://www.squawka.com/news/eriksen-vs-ozil-whos-the-best-playmaker-statistically/929887

Really, these so called 'experts' do my head in sometimes.

The ONLY thing Eriksen needs to improve are his corners, and get back scoring free kicks. Corners, especially, are the only subpar parts of his game.
I don't even agree with this, pretty sure he still got a decent amount of assists from corners, and we were up there in terms of goals scored from them. Every clubs' fans think they should be doing better from corners, but they have unrealistic expectations. Although I agree it'd be good if he could get back to his free-kick levels from a few seasons ago.

Don't understand why people dig him out? I believe he is one of the most underrated players in the league, if Coutinho is worth 100m then I truly do believe he's worth 130-150m. I may be biased but really think he makes us tick. I fuckin love this guy!!!

I'm not even clicking. Needlessly contrived attempt at controversy. Has been one of the best players in the league all year

Not impressed with these articles. Almost like a print version of TalkSport.

It's not hard to write the opposite of what people generally think to get "huh?" clicks. So that's what sites do. People need to stop clicking and they'll stop. And it'd be good if they stopped posting dross in here that is clearly going to wind up the natives

In a way, I'm glad if he's under rated by other clubs. We know he's really good but if being under rated means keeping him with a low profile and away from the watchful prying eyes of the rich clubs, then it suits me fine.

I've enjoyed some of Football Whispers articles but this was really poor;

Eriksen was carrying a hip injury at the beginning of last season but still performed well. He regularly creates and gets many assists.

Part of his play is about ghosting into positions so he is not always going to be really noticeable This is the same of many others taking up similar positions. The likes of Muller and Ozil get the same criticism but always gets a lot of assists and are central to their team's play.

That's interesting. I just questioned his knowledge in the ITK thread based on a couple of recent articles including this one.

That's why I came back to have a look at it. I think SC panned his critique so much that he pulled out of it

Blimey, that really is the mark of a **** of a journalist. Fine, be wrong from time to time, but at least own your work and make sure you do a better job with the next article rather than try and pretend you weren't mistaken in the first place. What a hack.
