Someone who knows more about these things than me; if RM buy Hazard, does that mean they will still need Eriksen?
Would say that they occupy quite different roles on the pitch with hazard more in the Moura/Alli(circa 17/18) role for us.

Eriksen is more of a tempo setter / deep lying playmaker as everything goes through him rather than him being the final creater of chances.

Think the closest equivalent in ‘Real Madrid’ terms would be:
  • Hazard would replace Bale
  • Eriksen would replace Kroos

Kroos just signed a new deal

The criticism and sometimes even hate towards Eriksen this season has been ridiculous, and I know I’m not a perfect fan myself I’ve criticised players before but fans does this towards Eriksen because he will most likely leave. He’s by far our most important players and losing him would be bad, it won’t be like with when Liverpool sold Coutinho this is different. I’m not saying we would turn to shit without Eriksen but we would have to change system and the way we play and that could take time.

This has been his “bad” season and he still massively helped us finished top 4 and CL final being involved in 27 goals this season. Remember Hazard “bad”season? He didn’t score in almost a year. Eriksen links our midfield and attack, creates so many chances and is almost always clinical when he gets chances, scores from outside the box, can use both feets, runs the most in the squad, and is almost never injured. He’s played in so many games for club and country in the last couple of seasons and he’s never complained. He flipping dragged Denmark to the World Cup and some don’t think he’s world class lol clueless people, best AM in the world with KDB, don’t compare him to James Rodriguez or Isco that’s a disrespect. And while Lo Celso is really good and has a lot of potential he’s still got a long way to go to reach Eriksen level

And I laugh when people say he’s not a big game player, he scored a hattrick away against Ireland to get Denmark to the WC, goal against Inter twice this season and one of them was a crucial winner, Assist in both games against City in the CL, Assist against United, Arsenal, Chelsea 2X In our 3-1 win, and assist in both game against Liverpool in the league and that’s all just from this season. And remember in Poch first season when he scored 3 last minute goals in 10 games that maybe when you look back it now really helped Poch? And when I hear that he’s not good enough for Real Madrid, what nonsense is that? He’s easily better than Isco James and Ceballos, and I can confidently say he would be a key player for them and although I really want him to stay it would be nice to see him shut up those stupid fans who’s criticised him all season

Without him this season we wouldn’t finish top 4 and reached the CL final, our midfield has been a mess this season and he’s done his best to help the team by dropping deeper. And what makes fans such hypocrites is that they say that players should at least put a shift in and he’s done that all the time but he’s still gets hate lol this fanbase

He’s a club legend and deserves respect no matter what the future holds for him

How has he been getting hate? 99.9% of posts say how great a player he is, even the most staunch critics of him suggest it's poor form and down to his head being turned, he has by far for a player leaving the most respectful comments from our fans so I don't understand what you're on about. Fuck me you couldn't even acknowledge this season that he had a bad game without having to fucking cake in niceties otherwise people would cry you're calling him shit.

It's like people want us to say, yeah we're fucked without him, we can't possibly replace him, we're doomed. He's a hell of a player but he can be replaced just like every single player who has ever left this club have been replaced.

Well that's twitter and unfortunately I'm not surprised and I dont even need to look to understand why you'd get annoyed:LOL: on here though, very respectful imo. As much as I'd love a fully focused Eriksen, I truly believe we will be better off going forward because I think he needs a change of scenery and the player we sign will do better than a disinterested Eriksen.

Several people have posted that they hope this gets done early in the transfer window. I can't see how that's remotely likely. We have a player who is obviously ambivalent about leaving, is not barracking disruptively for a move and says he might change his mind and sign a new contract.

He obviously has a very short list of suitors whom he would consider "a step up" - perhaps 4-6 teams, maximum. If any of those teams are in England, the chairman is likely to rule them out. That leaves the two major Spanish clubs, Bayern, Juventus and PSG. Serie A isn't enough of a draw anymore and I'm not sure about Ligue 1 either. Barcelona are sorted in his position. That leaves Real Madrid, alone.

The chairman wants an emperor's ransom for the deal and we know he doesn't reduce his asking figures in July, nor even in early August.

What evidence, other than wishful thinking, would suggest a quick deal here?

I'm not sure a club playing in the Europa League would represent "a step up" for Eriksen. He's not 21. These are his peak years. He needs to be winning stuff now, not in 3 years when Solskjaer has sorted United out.

Haha your funny Dave....

I think he will shine even more in either Spain or France, the game is that bit slower and will really suit Eriksen. That fraction more time to play the killer pass and then move. He is a top quality player and I said to one of my Spurs mates 4 years ago he was the one I would hate to leave (he didn't agree) but I still know he makes us tick. I will miss him massively but wish him the best and thank him for his hard work if he goes.

Pogba today said the same thing, he even said this was his best season :ROFLMAO: And I don’t see that many United fans telling him to F off and that they should now sell him and that he’s not good enough for Real
