No I do not believe so.
The issue really was poor decisions in the final third by sterling. Rooney also slowed the game down at times, but I would have left him on.

Milner too offered nothing when he came on and didn't close down enough.

But issue for me is how Kane was underused, though he too needs to watch for offside.

Roy took the intensity out of the ream, vardy should have come on.

After we scored the tv pictures went to Hodgson who you'd think would be celebrating. But no, he's in discussion with his coach and his first instinct was to bring on subs and kill the game. A progressive manager would have done the opposite and finished them off. Would the Germans or Spanish have taken off Rooney? Would they have put on Milner. No....... but Roy got what he deserved and we've all suffered because of it.

It's almost as if Roy doesn't realise our defence isn't that good. You can be conservative and try to kill games off if you've got the likes of Terry and Rio as your centre backs but with Cahill and Smalling you ain't going to keep a clean sheet so try and finish games off by going after another goal.
