Safe to say that Everton will not be worried about European adventures hurting their second half season performance.

I watched Milan. Pretty poor game 2-0 up and Milan should have seen it through with ease. They then decided to defend like it was a kick about in a back yard and Rjeka nearly got a draw. Milan then pulled their finger out to win it in the 94th.

They were the last pick on my winning acca too. I was about to kick the dog.

Was there a goals show for the Europa too? Does James Richardson host it ?

Still not sure it's for me, I like to watch a proper game and then watch all the highlights later.

That Apollon sending off was harsh, the guy clearly was just going for the ball and Calvert-Lewin just fell under his boot.

No, only for CL. Just messin witcha.

Who would you rather have Fekir or Barkley ?
That little Fekir looks back to his best now that he has some distance from the knee. I wouldn't mind both to be greedy. But my answer would be it depends on what Poch's plans are. If he wants Eriksen alternative and some wide play then Fekir. But if he is looking to spell Mousa and Christian then Barkley. I really do like Barkley though I know he has faults. My concern about Fekir is would he put in the hard yards in place of Eriksen? Eriksen really does deny passing angles with his movement so would Fekir bring similar nous in the press? He would bring more to our game from the right though.

I don't want Barkley in our CM area. I want Onomah there or us to buy a proper bloody 8.

Fekir can play just about anywhere in the front area, including striker.

Did you see the chip goal by the Vader player against R Sociedad ? Thing of absolute beauty.Best goal of the night I've seen so far.

I watched about 60 minutes of BATE-ARSE. The BATE keeper looked so nervous and dropped a couple of real bollocks, the worst being the pass straight to Walnut for Arse's second. Same old, same old for Arse really, switched off in defence a few times but looked alright going forward.

Also caught the highlights of Rosenborg - Vardar and Bendtner was actually really good. Didn't score the best goal of the night though, former Rennes player Anders Konradsen had a top corner thunderbastard. Easy win for Rosenborg but with Zenit and Sociedad in the group it's just a battle for an honourable third.

Didn't stay up for the late games as I had to get up at 04.15 (03.15 UK time) for work.

Had a 6-fold acca which I thought was an absolute banker. 3 teams managed to fuck it up...

Last time I bet on the EL.

Two things you never bet on are EL and international friendlies. Once burned, etc.

Onomah has played well for Villa but the players there are limited. I have watched 5 of their games (ESPN here has replay on Championship games) and he has been the best player there. Strangely Bruce has started him from the bench the last couple of games of which I saw only the Barnsley game. Not sure a loan to a team where he is the best player will stretch his game.

Missed the Zenit goal. Interesting all the Argentines going there this summer.

Arsenal are not having their way in Belgrade. Red Star have just hit the post from a corner, which resulted from a last ditch tackle to stop a break.
