A neutral venue has to be decided in advance, I get that no problem.

I also think there should be a plan B that doesn't drag two teams and their fans from the same city to the opposite end of Europe for a final that is massively televised throughout the continent yet of little interest
to the locals.

I’m sure they could decide the venue once the quarter finals are drawn. They have a rough idea of where and where not to hold it then. Yes some stadia may be booked up, but plenty won’t be.

With more teams coming in to these competitions it won't be long before we play at one of the poles or up a fucking mountain !
