This is what I thought and goes against Spurger King and Yidol ?

It doesn't. If say we finished 5th and won CL and Chelsea won Europa and finished 6th, arsenal finished 4th they would miss out on CL and Chelsea and Tottenham take the spots with top 3 clubs

If the winners of CL and Europa are English and outside of the top 4 then 4th missed out, otherwise we get 5 in CL.
If we finish 4th the only way we don’t get CL qualification is if Liverpool win the CL and finish outside the top 4, which I’m not sure is even possible.
@Spurger King we're in trouble then if Chelsea or arsenal win europa and aren't in top4 and we're 4th!!!?

But we finish 4th and they win it we're not in CL?

There is only 1 scenario where 4th place misses out on CL, and that's us winning the CL and finishing out of the top 4 and one of Chelsea or Arsenal winning the Europa and finishing outside the top 4.

Yep. In theory we could finish 5th and Chelsea 6th, with Arsenal 4th. If us and Chelsea both won our European trophies, the Gooners miss out on the CL.

We’ve been worried about these nightmare scenarios before, but for once we’re the ones causing them for fans of United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, all of which could potentially finish 4th and not qualify.

If United had made the last 4 we’d also be at risk.

Got it. So basically there cant be more than 5 English teams in the CL next season and no chance of that (y)

Unless we finish outside top 4 and win CL and one of arsenal or Chelsea win Europa and also finish outside top 4. Liverpool won't drop out top 4 so as long as we finish top 4 we are safe.

A few things: I am thankful Chelsea brought back Luiz a few years ago. He continues to provide endless laughs. Brainless player.

If I had $10 for every day Ramsey’s been hurt in his career, i’d probably be a very rich man on a private island.

You’d be richer if it was Wilshere.

It would be lovely if we had a choice over which team lost out in this way, for the record as far as my vote was concerned if we had such a hypothetical vote, it's only fair that this should happen to Chelsea, and it would be equally fitting that they discovered their fate in a tense penalty shoot out on a balmy night in Madrid on the 1st June whilst watching in despair from afar in pubs and in homes as these events unfolded and realising that they were entirely powerless to stop it from happening.

For the record, I'm totally content with two London teams winning European titles this year.

I'd love to get into the super cup and stuff Arsenal. 2 trophies for the price of 1/2 a trophy. Oh and the bragging rights for years to come. And the opportunity to do them again in the world club championship in 2021....
Must beat Ajax first, and i've got a feeling Barca are beatable oddly enough this year, not so sure about the dippers they're a good side.

So I had a quick look at how good Valencia are, since the Goons are playing them on Thursday PM.

They seem to have a good defence (joint second in La Liga) and are hard to beat; had some draws and victories against the big boys in Spain.

Speaking of draws, they've managed a staggering 16 of them in the league this season. They even drew 8 out of their first 10 games!

Managed to beat Man Utd in the CL, but couldn't beat Young Boys so they were knocked out.

Anyway, does anyone else here have any insight into Valencia?
