Quick question about the Europa League. I never had the chance to go over the last time we were in it but now this season i would love to get over for a european game. just wondering did tickets sell out quickly for the games in play offs and group stages, what kind of prices were they and what kind of atmophere is it compared to a premiership match.

Cheers

I remember some empty seats but we almost sold out most games. Tickets were expensive though and one of the games wasn't even sold to TV in order to encourage fans to buy tickets IIRC.

It may not be Champions League, but there's still nothing better than a European night at the lane imo. Worth every penny.

Are you talking about home or away games?

I'm only a bronze member, but I managed to get two tickets to the Young Boys and Twente home matches this year. As long as you're on the ball and have access to a computer around the time the tickets go on sale, you should have no problem getting tickets for the Europa League.

Question is, will the atmosphere still be as great now that we've tasted Champion's League and, by most accounts, we're going to use the Europa League as an opportunity to give fringe players some game time?

Previously, we've used our strongest team in all European games, minus Harry's first season, for obvious reasons.

Did you manage to get tickets beside each other fr these games?

Yeah. I don't really think you'll have much to worry about with the majority of games. You may find it a lot more difficult if we get to quarter finals and draw a fairly high profile club, but with the first few games, you shouldn't have a problem.

I wouldn't expect there to be much of a rush for the Europa League tickets. I remember the last time we were in it and I only decided to go to the Zagreb (was it Dinamo?) home game about 3 days before the game, and the bloke next to me on the night only bought his ticket that morning.

From what I recall the ground tends to be pretty full, but with quite a lot of tickets not being sold until a few days before the game.

I hope so. The best atmosphere I've ever seen at the lane was when we were losing against Sevillia. If the fans were like that every week we could win the league!

I got four tickets to the Seville 1/4 last time round a few days after general sale in the Park Lane easy as pie.

We're better now though, have more members etc etc so it'll much different.

If we're playing Utd at home on Sunday and FC Feta Postmen on Thursday then I reckon it should be easy getting tickets wherever you want.

I remember the game against the Polish team where they took half the stadium and there were fights everywhere in the ground!

Yes! I agree with this 100%. The man with the drum was going for it for the whole second half. "Martin Jol's Blue and White Army" was going round the ground for a good half an hour. Electric.

There are some bloody good teams in the Europa League next season; i'm sure if we're playing Sevilla or PSV or Roma or someone like that we'll still have a brilliant atmosphere.
