    An old-fashioned full-bloodied game

Hope none of ours get sent off in 2nd half esp BAE or Daws

We look the more skilful side but in this type of game it could go either way

Don't think anybody needs to be substituted atm

We should be ahead. We've made better chances and more of them and our football is superior. But defensively, we look rattled, hence the yellow cards for BAE & Dawson. It's impossible to see us getting a clean sheet if we keep playing like this, but since the Wigan match, nothing is quite dropping for us in the penalty area and all of our strikers are chronically missing the target.

On the upside, Palacios (after a shaky start) has looked better, Kranjcar and Lennon look threatening and Huddlestone is holding things together capably. We'll control the midfield for 5 minutes and then Everton will hve a spell, determined largely by the bounce of the ball in a hard-fought match.

In a nutshell: we look better in attack, but worse in defence. No idea how this will end - but hard to imagine that it will end goalless.

Also hard to imagine that it will end with 22 players on the pitch. I do hope Dawson and BAE in particular keep their heads. Benoit is having a bad day - missed tackles, bad judgment and bad temper.

Not a good game on our part. Harry should take off Benie.

We just need to concentrate on playing football and not get drawn into a scrap by Everton. Their defence looks shakier than ours and with Hibbert and Neill as their CBs and Hibbert especially bullying Defoe, something is gonna give. Fellaini (sp) is a hotheaded character and I can't see him going another 45mins without getting a red.

    We need to stay cool.

In the first half we were clearly the better team and have had a number of chances, in particular Defoe who should have scored with one of them. Unfortunately the game has decended into a physical battle, as it so often does against against Everton. Hairdo on their side should be off for elbowing 3MP, as should BAE for his unsightly raking of Cahill.

I really hate playing Everton as they always seem to ruin the flow of the game. Their only footballers on the pitch today are Pinnear (excuse the spelling) and Hibbet, who seems like a decent defender. That new boy has done well at left back too. I don't know how Everton fans manage to watch this sh*t every week.
