With a midfield with Sissoko, Benayoun and Gerrard in his current form, you really have to question Rafa Benitez!!!

Why Babel or Alonso aren't playing I don't know. Congratulations master tactician Rafa Benitez!

Oh and top corner finish from Hyypia, good stuff!

What is Sissoko doing? It's just unbelievable a player with soo little talent is playing in a "Top 4" team. Especially when you have the likes of Babel and Alonso fit, I don't rate Alonso, I think he's massively overrated to be honest, but he's much much much better than Sissoko!!!

Kuyts done well again, he's run and run and run and done....erm f**k all I think!

Mr Liverpool has barely turned up, again. Missing in big matches, didn't think I would ever hear that!

And master tactician Benitez, what position is your striker Voronin playing? I reckon he should swap him and Hyypia around, Hyypia's goal was top class, top corner and in Ronaldinho style, looking in the other direction to make the other players think he's kicking it the other way, showboating genius.

Clattenburgs done himself no favours.

Lescott should have had a penalty, arms all over him.

Carragher should have been booked for continuous arguing with the ref, had it have been Rooney he would have probably been given 4 yellows......

Kuyt really is poor isn't he. Thank fuck we got Berbatov instead!

fucking disgraceful. How Kuyt hasn't been sent off I don't know.

Poor refereeing display so far. Shocking that wasn't a red card infact.

He was 3 foot off the ground jumping in.

And f**k me, just seen the replay of the Hibbert sending off. Ref got the yellow out and Gerrard does what he does best, he tells the ref how to ref and Clattenburg then puts the yelow card away and gets the red card out instead.

If Poll got demoted for what he did, Clattenburg should for his mistakes today.

Fucking embarassing from Clattenburg today.

He has saved Rafa Benitez from possibly the biggest piece of bad press coverage in a long time.

Everton 1-2 Liverpool + Clattenburg

Clattenburg waves away another penalty in the last seconds for Everton. Lescott should have won 2 penalties and got neither. Kuyt should have been sent off for a kung fu dive.

I look forward to hearing Moyes, as much as I dislike the bloke his post match interview should be interesting.

Carragher wrestled Lescott to the ground.

Carragher should have had 3 yellows. Everton should have had 2 penalties.

Clattenburg should be banned from reffng for a while if Styles was for one bad decision.

Biasedness towards a big club? Surely that can't be true?

Gerrard should have been sent off for inducing the ref into sending the player off.

Unlucky, unlucky Everton.

I hate blaming refs for mistakes but that performance today by Clattenburg was disgraceful. If you're going to give penalties for pulling shirts then you have to give it when it's at the other end. Everton should have had two penalties and Kuyt probably should have been sent off, he didn't have his studs up but it was two footed about a metre off the ground.

Watching games like that makes you think there's a reason the top four are always top four.

Mark Clattenburg? Completely bottling a clear decision in the dying seconds of a major match? How very out of character.
