Yeah that was a bolt from the blue, and seemed so unnecessary too... At least we all had sufficient warning to adjust to this one.

Even though I loved Bale for the player he was VDV endeared himself to us far more in 2 seasons than Bale did in 6.

I watched that documentary on him this afternoon ( sky+ it ) thought it was really good... I even had a smile ... But now....I feel deflated knowing we won't be seeing him in a Spurs shirt anymore....:-( so for a minute I will pass on watching these ...

Ha! Even in this thread there are a couple of bedwetters crying because he had the audacity to move to arguably the biggest club in the history of the game...

This footage just goes to show how lucky we've been to have one of the greatest players in THFC's history pull on the skin-tight lilywhite in our lifetime. Injury time against West Ham anyone? Thank you Gareth.

Brilliant. You will not see any better goal compilations than that (OK maybe from Messi and CR7). I loved the inside-out finishes against Norwich and Swansea.

Would somebody be able to refresh my memory on what game it was where he scored off the deflection from the keeper and it went straight into the goal, it is right towards the end of the video.

Watching that video makes me realise how few goals he scored prior to last season. The fist of his hat trick at the San Siro was his fifth goal for us. Mental.

Wigan away. Bale scored early, but Wigan quickly came back taking the lead. Managed 2-2 after a very ate OG from Boyce(?). The game where I knew we were finished

Awesome footballer! Really started to show his class the last 2 seasons. Who knows what we could of achieved if he stayed for one more! But im not gonna begrudge him his dream move. I watched the Real deal documentary last night. Made me sad to think he's not a spurs player anymore. However I'm proud to say he was at Tottenham, and I was at the Sunderland game to see his last premier league game! And score the winning goal right in front of me.
We're all hurting because we want Tottenham to do well and kept these special players but players come and go and Tottenham Hotspur is for life!
Best of luck Gareth, thanks for everything we'll see you in the champions league next season!

Really wasn't. He'd already scored a couple that season (including that blinding volley v Stoke), a couple the previous season v arsenal and Chelsea, and a couple in his first season too. Point taken but he definitely had more than 4 goals prior to the guisseppe meazza.

Its amazing how just by watching the goals you can see how his quality and confidence developed as a player. Outragrous goals, with both feet, head and from different areas of the pitch.

It's still too raw though. It'll take until we put in some really strong performances without him to get over it.

Agreed. I'm feeling really bummed having just watched that :(
