Doherty has been inconsistent and mainly injured and when given the opportunity hasn't claimed the spot. In fairness Conte has got us into a good position in the league to push for CL qualifications once again and into the knock out stages . He needs more windows to get the quality players in what he should do as fans supporters customers is support the process.

I was surprised at this. AG knows full well how highly the club rate this competition after they sacked mourinho the
week of the final, a couple of years back.
And I feel the same way - and in any case this competition should have been cancelled this season, because of the world corrupt, and lower league clubs compensated with some of the spoils.
I dont know what the away fans expected - they should have been watching a reserve side. Instead they got to see pretty much the first 11. And they played as well as they normally do.

Conte can save his apologies until after the leeds game, and it better be a good one as we will have to live off that all through the festive season.
