FA chief executive Martin Glenn has admitted the video assistant referee (VAR) was wrong to rule out Tottenham's first disallowed goal in their FA Cup victory over Rochdale on Wednesday.

Foy said at the time that the protocol is for EVERY game changing decision (i.e. every goal) to be checked. Previously we've only been told "clear and obvious".

It also wrongly dissallowed the Son penalty.
It's been mulled over in the thread, but come on. He stopped just before he kicked it. It should have been retaken due to encroachment. Some of the players almost made it into the bac of the net before the ball did.

He's just playing politics here. Although IFAB has authorised the use of VAR, there are several Premier League clubs ready to block it, so Glenn is trying to persuade them that the recent difficulties were due to incorrect implementation by the officials.
