Well, of course, first they have to beat Rochdale - at Wembley, yes - and then there is Sheff. W or Swansea. And if Spurs should qualify for the Final, which will be at Wembley, should the final also be moved then or...?

FA Cup: Anger brewing over possibility of Spurs’ ‘home’ semi-final

The FA will resist pressure to switch an FA Cup semi-final involving Tottenham Hotspur away from Wembley despite growing opposition from some clubs left in the competition to Spurs effectively being granted a home fixture.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team remain on course to reach the last four despite being held to a 2-2 draw in the fifth round away to Rochdale yesterday, with Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea City lying in wait in the quarter-finals

Knew this was gonna happen, I remember a time when everyone was saying we're shit at Wembley and we had that dreaded Wembley curse hanging over us or some shit like that...wasn't a problem then.

we're paying the FA to use Wembley they signed the agreement so they can't change it and other clubs knew the situation before the season started.
Any advantage in the FA cup has been compensated by the loss of home advantage in the league, it cuts both ways.

We’ve been here all season, this was always on the cards and agreed to. is this fucking idiot week or something?

1) we are not in the semis yet
2) Semi-finals shouldn't be played at Wembley
3) As long as we don't get drawn against Utd Old Trafford would be fine with me
4) If we did go on and win the accomplishment would be diminished by others saying we had home advantage. Can you imagine how the Scousers would react?

Let me guess, this "anger" has been tracked to the Bootle area of Merseyside?

Oh, and should we win the cup, all those "you've won nothing" comments will then change to "yeah, but you had to cheat to win the cup".... yada, yada, yada...

Even if we got to the Semi, it wouldnt necessarily be a 'home' game anyway as the fans would have an even split.

As said above, before the season started we were doomed and the curse would be terrible for us. Fuck em.

Exactly. On one hand it could be an advantage because we’ve been playing there all season, on the other there will be 40k away supporters there and that will spoil any home advantage we had because it would be alien to the players.

Saying that, I’d have no issues should they decide to move it to a more neutral venue. If we do get there, it looks like the other big 3 will get there too and I imagine they will ask for a move. If it were a lower league team maybe not.

While we're at it, shall we just move the final too?

The worst thing about this, is that even if we do get to the Semi or even the final, if we were to lose there would be swathes of dickheads claiming we couldn't even win at home

Let's worry about getting there first though. Play like we did yesterday and Swansea would turn us over

They’ve been quite happy for us to have no home advantage for our “home” games for this whole season though..

That we’ve made it feel a bit like home has been down to us. Why compound the disadvantage we’ve had all this year still further, just because we’ve dealt with it well?

Can’t start piping up now, if this even was an issue it would have been brought up prior to agreeing to play at Wembley for our home games. It’s not like there was never a reasonable chance this would happen.

If we got to the semi final our opponents would probably want to play at Wembley so they would lose out if it was moved
to anywhere else.

Not so much ‘anger brewing’ as ‘column inches need filling’. This is on par with ‘Spurs May need to start next season away from home’. Yes, this may happen, but nobody gives a flying fuck unless they can use it as an excuse for failure in the future.

Perhaps we should sell some of players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli ?

That might help appease the masses.

Why would it be a home fixture? The fans would still be split, there's nothing we can do about now having experience playing at Wembley.
