Oh ok. Well I think we do need one quality striker this summer who can take us forward in the champions league and it will be worth spending 25- 30 million on.

Yeah that's what I meant. Similar to when we splashed out on Berbatov when he was only 25? Not quiete on the level of Drogba, but still the perfect timing to bring him in as he was reaching his full potential. I'm thinking along the lines of Dzeko/Gomez/Suarez. All are still to reach their peak, but all amongst the best in the world. I can see them as somewhat realistic targets provided we splash the cash and move quick.

I hate Chelsea, but fuck do we need to find a Drogba. Is there a better big game player in the World?

£24m from a not particularly huge club in Marseille, and just hitting his peak at 26. Exactly what we need this summer.

Agreed, I cant stand him but I he is a brilliant big game player. That's two Wembley semi-finals and three finals he has scored in now. Definitely the man for the big occasion (as predicted).
Those sort of players are rare though and they cost a LOT of money!
