In the same boat, I'll be so gutted to be at another semi defeat!

Looking forward to the feeling of getting to a FA cup final, I really hope it's this year! COYS

Yes, I have been to them all. I did have the good luck though to see the four we won before we started losing them. I hope we can break the hoodoo on Saturday of course, it is getting a bit ridiculous.

With the exception of Portsmouth we were the underdog in all those games. There is no hoodo or jinx at work here. We were predictably beaten by better teams.

This Saturday is different. I honestly believe we're better than United. I expect us to win.

Living overseas for many years, I haven't been to a semi-final since 1991. But back in Blighty briefly and have a ticket for this one.

I've got a horrible feeling that VAR will determine the outcome of this game... And recent history suggests it won't be in our favour

Not true

Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle and Portsmouth we was not underdog.

Even potential Chelsea in 2017 but close.

Arse 93 - we was on a role and above Arse and favourites,

Everton - famous 5 and they had Anachochi (sp) who couldn’t score (I know).

Newcastle - above them in league and strong form,

Pompey - they was bottom of league and best players out.

Denied one of the most blatant penalties against the scum in 93 when Anderton was scythed down by one of their donkeys.

I went to the first 2, Leeds stands out as one of the worst memories of any away game moved to Australia so not been to any since, I've have watched them all though, When I told the wife I am going to be late in on Sunday morning as I will out watching the semi final. She turned around and said "don't do it to yourself love" she had real pity in her eyes. I'm nervous

The Everton match was surely the worst, absolutely sickening the way we lost that.

Some ex Man u player on TS yesterday with Brazil (one of many, no spurs) was asked who he fancied to win it.
Surprisingly (not) he said Man U. It was his logic that made me laugh.
'Spurs had a chance against Man city to show where they are at and they didnt do it" (why we have to win EVERY game against top teams to prove we've improved annoys me).
I thought erm...... didnt you ##### just lose At HOME.... TO WEST BROM????
Yep, you're in great form mate. Twat.

That said I think we'll lose.
Years of being let down just wont let me think otherwise.
I expect us to outplay them, have more possesion, shots on target and corners but those fkers will have 4 shots and score 2 or 3.
Not even sure I can bring myself to watch it live.

Can only think of the 84 final when we won a shootout, have we ever won another one?

Can’t think of any, although don’t remember being involved in that many. I remember losing a couple of shootouts at WHL and of course against Utd in the league cup final.

Plus losing in a shootout is just a Spurs thing to do.

Well, we won the last one against Hull. I seem to recall Walker scoring. The others make for poor reading;

Funny, but I have no recollection of losing to Basel in a shootout. Thought we lost on agrregate. Must have blanked it out of my mind.

Is that the tie with the ridiculous miss where Soldado and Chadli were through on goal with no defenders and only the keeper to beat?

I think that might have been Fiorentina a couple of seasons later.

Basel was 2-2 home and away. Dempsey scored twice over there.

Like you I have no recollection of penalties.
