COLUMNS
Life is good again [Middlesboro 2-1, Charlton 5-1] so I will be visiting Chester this week to watch the youth team take on Chester City in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. Allowing for the weather the match should reflect how many good young players we have at White Hart Lane.
I am particularly looking forward to seeing Pekhart, Button and Livermore - my 3 to make the 1st XL. Sadly Terry Dixon (the best of the lot) will not be playing. Perhaps a fellow Spurs fan knows more about his injury than me, if so pray tell. As far as i know Terry dislocated his kneecap against Norwich City Youth in October and was immediately operated on. Whilst the coaching staff were confident of a full recovery it appears he needed another operation. The Spurs official website has remained silent since the 2nd operation. Also we have another talented forward in Radwan Hamed who collapsed in a Youth tournament in Belgium (July 2006) whilst playing for Spurs. Again the Spurs site is silent.
Also missing from recent youth reports are Matthew Wells and Greg Lake. Do you see a pattern here. I am a little tired of reading little or no real information on the Spurs Official site.
Thank god for Spurs Community. The Spurs site needs to start treating its fans with a less patronising attitude and give us information any caring and supportive fan is entitled to (eg wrt DIXON & HAMED). I hope they are both well, does anyone know?:bang:
