Its possible with London prices that our financial clout could put us in a strong position eventually, but as for being bigger i could live another 70 years and we wont surpass what they have done.
Globally Liverpool are probably in the top 5/6 teams supported world wide.

And. All you will still hear from their fans is about how they were great once.

Like you're doing now?

If (and I quote if) we pip them to 5th this year then that will be twice in four years we have been above them. They might have trounced us but we are only behind them by a point. They are there for the taking.

2 times in 4 seasons. So half of the possible times we could have in the quoted time?
What about the 25 years before that?

Please, please don't say these things to opposition fans. It's hardly a wonder we get so much stick.

I think we should prove to them that we're bigger than them by referring to Bentaleb as Nabie B. Every time anyone from the club is interviewed they can explain how he's a fantastic player and a great man. That'll show them.

Don't forget the fact that our fans are the most gracious in football and that it's not uncommon for us to clap opposition goals because we're just that little bit different [read: "better"] than other football fans. I read it on Blue And White Shelf (BAWS).

On an unrelated note, you're a Jets, Texans, Schalke and Spurs fan? Impressive, but where on earth are you from haha.
Well I'm from Canada, my Mother's family is from Germany and my grandfather is from Wolverhampton.

We're both at the end of a disappointing season, hardly the time for either of us to crow.

It is funny to see Liverpool getting brought back down to Earth after spending the summer convincing themselves they wouldn't "do a Spurs" with their £100mill+ though. Small mercies.

Reading about the Sterling contract situation, Liverpool are now a direct rival to us. They can't keep their best players, unlikely to qualify for the champions league year in, year out.

I really think, that once we move into our shiny new stadium, we will be a more attractive club to any player. 60,000 seater, purpose built stadium in London. With state of the art training facilities, and the biggest footballing city on the planet behind us.:cool::cool:
What if they are in the Champions League but we are not? How are you defining 'bigger' exactly? Purely based on stadium size and facilities? That's pretty convenient...

Liverpool are the second biggest team in the UK given their history. How can you seriously compare us to them?

A sobering observation re our "big" club from the Daily Mail...

What have the following teams got in common? Liverpool, Manchester United, Ipswich Town, Watford, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers, Everton, West Ham, Arsenal, Norwich City, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Chelsea. Since three points for a win began in 1981-82, they have all finished within 12 points or less of the champions. No place for Tottenham. Incredible, isn’t it?

Battered by Villa in FA Cup semi. Lost at home to Palace. Thrashed by Stoke. Perfect send off for an overrated show pony. LoL.

Liverpool's record of finishing in PL :

7th, 6th, 8th, 7th, 2nd, 6th

Good news for Brendan - he's improved them, he took over when they were 7th !

Of and we've finished above them 5 years out of the last 6.

Oh and just to rub it in..... (as if I would !)

Ben Smith‏@BenSmithBBC·
The last time Liverpool conceded six+ goals in a top flight game was in 1963, 7-2 against Spurs (via Opta)
