They did exist when Jack the Ripper was committing all those murders (1888). They were known as Royal A*****l and based in Plumstead at that time.

Beckham is not a gooner. He’s always been a United fan and in fact has said if anything, he has an affinity with Spurs too as his Grandad was a ST holder.

He’s a celebrity though, so pops up wherever he’s invited.

I would say Arsenal seem to attract a lot of celebrity fans. These gooners are everywhere, like a disease.

Roger the Nouveau Fan in the Fast Show was, of course, famously Arsenal. I don't believe John Thomson is an Arsenal Fan - and Mark Williams definitely isn't - but I think it's fair to surmise that they've met one or two...
