As corny as the name may be, I think this is necessary and very good PR move for the club.

With violence all over the football world, it is imperative that fans start policing themselves and that comes in the form of being a club ambassador. The more good vibes around a club, with the right methodology, the better the sport will be.

I think they should be like moderators. I wanna see @Archibald&Crooks out there greeting people and making sure they’re behaving themselves. If not I think he should ban them from the ground. Then I could be on the other side of the stadium answering questions about why their ticket doesn’t work in the turnstile.

Looks like @Houdini will need a bigger dungeon. :D

But seriously.... Great idea.... Most of the time the only fans u see are the extremist morons. It's good to get the "mature" and "respectful" rolemodels out there.

I don't think they're particularly looking for actual fans here folks, seems more just happy clappy people outside the stadium a bit like those pink people that swarmed all over London 2012

I'm not sure a few fake smiles and selfie frames are going to achieve much in terms of that.

@Archibald&Crooks - marching from cubicle to cubicle, knocking and asking each patron if they have enough toilet roll, would they like a copy of Metro to read, offering a free stool-inspection and advice for a more desirable consistency, etc...

That’s just his excuse in Hampstead Heath.

Sounds like it's geared towards tourists if you ask me...
It is just a pity that you see fit to put a negative spin on what I see is a positive step towards an event day hospitality. A small a gesture as it may appear, it can make the difference of someone's experience of visiting the stadium.

All about the américanisation of the match day experience innit. More of an event, more of a spectacle, make it friendly & non threatening, engage your (mainly male) fan base to bring the wife & kids, increase your appeal & break the power of the ST holder - because their seats are more profitably sold week by week as a match experience package

Give it 10 years & there’ll be jumbo cokes, nachos & giant hotdogs being sold to the seats & 4 scheduled Jumbotron proposals squeezed into half time

Not really sure what I've said that warrants you getting all pompous. I was just commenting in response to people saying things about it showing the club are getting in touch with fans or that it will somehow help stop this supposed spread of violence and things like that. Sounds to me more like they're just there to direct people to the correct gate who haven't been there before and that kind of thing, a large portion of which will be tourists. I don't see what's wrong with anything I've said?
