He tries hard, has a great attitude and appreciates the fans.

Such a shame that it's not working out for him.

Am I the only one that thinks it will?

You would have to ignore last season because of the style of football AVB was playing, at no time was RS consistantly getting chances and when Tim Sherwood took over RS didn't get a look in.

With MoPo, I have seen a gradual progression, with Robbie getting more and more chances and although at times he's frustrated me but for the last 18 months, he must be at an all time low in his profressional confidence but shoots of confidence and showing with his goal per games ratio decreasing, if I'm right, that's 2 in 5 games.

I think it'll get better.

I actually think we will be alot better in the 2nd half of the season and I really hope that Soldado starts banging them in, because you just can;t help, but love the bloke...

I won't click disagree because i don't like giving negative ratings to good posts.
But for the record, I disagree. He had loads of chances last season and fluffed them and he's done the same most of this season.
The only Ray of light is 2 goals in 4 games, his best return since getting Herr if you exclude penalties in his first two games.

I was the same, but I remember thinking why we wouldn't supply early crosses into the box and play inverted wingers who prefered cutting in rather than stay wide. That would take away the majority of the strengths that Soldado has.

He would make good runs and the pass would not be delivered.

I think the Christmas period will be key, I hope Adebayor doesn't upset the cart and gets picked for the next few games. I wish Robbie gets a run of games in the league and with that, a better conversion rate than he has previously had.

I feel he will always struggle in this league. Cannot fault his effort and determination but for me Soldado and Lamela have been very disappointing for us, and not cheap either for their return on the money that the Club have invested.

Next time Soldado starts in the PL, he will score.
No, I'm not acting like I can predict the future, it's just my personal opinion, already.:bored:

I think he has something like seven goals in thirty six appearances. That i am afraid is not PL standards for a team purposing to want to play a 4-2-3-1 system or indeed a team wanting CL football. I have nothing against the player but sympathy can only go so far in this game.

Chadli (i think) has seven this season already, and that's a big bonus for us, and yet he cannot get a start on a regular basis.

I have to disagree with you. I'm on the fence about Lamela but I don't think that's the case with Bobby. Watching him I've noticed he get's into good positions, finds himself at the ends of chances often enough and has good link up play.

The problem he faces is that his finishing is quite frankly awful which to me tells me that this isn't normal. For a player to be good at finishing one day and then useless the next points to psychological issue.

I think it's simply a lack of confidence which is something that can be turned around.

His reaction speed in this league isn't quick enough.

We haven't got season after season to turn anyone around, let alone a 29 year old striker.

True. Which is why I stopped short of saying that it would be something we could turn around.

But who are we kidding. The minute he leaves us he'll be back to his best. We just seem to break players somehow lol.

I ask myself, would Defoe miss all those chances, including the one on ones with the keeper. I think not. Yes support the team, but you here to score goals.

Spurs need a striker desperately out of the three we have, Soldado is by far the worst. All of his supporters have to stop deluding themselves, off the ball his work rate is weak, and he cost 26 million.
If we are to get top 4 we need a 20 league goals striker, 7 goals from 38 games over 1 and half seasons and about 4 of them are from penalties is not good enough.
What are these fans watching when you see agurero, costa , van persie, scoring goals out of nothing how could anyone be satisfied with soldaldo,
I have personally seen him miss a lot of chances from his time under Avb. Sherwood said that in training Ade and Kane look better I think the people who think Soldado is the answer for Spurs, are Arsenal fans in disguise.
