more bollocks from seville. You cant ban opposition players from your stadium otherwise every team would ban whoever they are playings starting 11. They would forfeit the game if they did. So very tired of sevilles board

I assume they've banned him as a civilian since theres no way they can legally ban him as a player. In any case it's unbelievably petty.

Love it. Means they care that much. Play him against Sunderland. He'll sort our defence out. No more f**king around - Michael Jackson-style Moonwalking time with ball... lazy clearances in front of goal...about time we had a ruthless bastard in our defence.

So now both clubs who we activated release clauses for defenders from - Sporting Lisbon and Sevilla - now seem to hate the player and anyone else who conspired against them. Why do these clubs agree to such clauses if they're not prepared to see them honoured?

I quite like the idea of banning a player. It should be a new rule: every club can ban one player from an opposing team from entering their ground.

I'm just really glad they didn't ban him from WHL too. What a waste of money that would have been.

As a Sporting fan I don't really have the impression that fans flat out hate Eric. Most of the blame is put on the club who although aware that Eric is a class player didn't do much prior to this Summer in terms of improving his contract/setting a bigger fee. They should've done that 2 seasons ago,but at least it made them more aware of other young players who get the improved contracts before they attract bigger clubs.

Other hated party is Eric's dad Jeremy who came out almost weekly throughout the Summer in news saying that his boy will stay it's only a matter of day they sign a new contract.

Eric is still a kid so it's not like he forced the deal out on his own and I believe majority of fans get that.

/apologies for off topic, Sevilla seems butthurt

No worries. Just to clarify my own comment, when I referred to the 'clubs' I meant their leaderships rather than the fans en-masse.

Only quote: “Fazio is past. I’m just saying that. We must be aware of the present and future with an exciting squad,” .

Can probably understand they don't want to give him a leaving party. But he's not really banned from the stadium, forever.
